TOUGH QUESTIONS

And if you don’t accept him but live a good life anyway what does god do to you? And why?
Nothing...you die like everyone else...the judgement is to remain in that state of death/non-existence or to be resurrected...your choice...

"And just as it is reserved for men to die once for all time, but after this to receive a judgment." Hebrews 9:27

Only those who look to christ for their salvation will live again...

"also the Christ was offered once for all time to bear the sins of many;+ and the second time that he appears it will be apart from sin,* and he will be seen by those earnestly looking for him for their salvation.+" Hebrews 9:28

And if you don’t accept him but live a good life anyway what does god do to you? And why?

Living a good life will not save you.
It is Jesus, who will.

He is the ONLY Way.

Ephesians 2
8 For it is by grace you have been saved,
through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—
9
not by works, so that no one can boast.

If you reject Jesus, God will reject you back.

Ephesians 2

Made Alive in Christ

2 As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins,
2 in which you used to live when you followed the ways of this world and of the ruler of the kingdom of the air, the spirit who is now at work in those who are disobedient.
3 All of us also lived among them at one time, gratifying the cravings of our flesh[a] and following its desires and thoughts. Like the rest, we were by nature deserving of wrath.

4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy,
5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved.
6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus,
7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus.

Jesus is the personification of GOD's love for us.

We can't call SEPARATION from GOD as, "nothing."

That sounds like saying, separation from Him is................................. "no big deal."

It is a big deal!
It's the biggest deal of all...................................... the result of your life lived on earth! :)

Otherwise, Christ will not be warning us REPEATEDLY of Judgment Day!

Maybe, we can relate with its importance if we think of it as an "investment!"
We'll collect on the result of that "investment" we've made on earth, in the afterlife.

Saved by grace alone but judged by works / John MacArthur

"Works are not mean of salvation. They are the result of it."

I'd like to give another answer to a question someone asked a while back.

If evolution is proven true....................................will you lose your faith?

No.

God didn't say to believe how He created the world.
He didn't give any details.

The message I get from the Bible is that, we must believe He is the Creator.

"Works are not mean of salvation. They are the result of it."

Of course this is difficult to understand. Many of us are acquainted with ‘born again’ Christians that are bigots, racists, etc and proud of it. Their hate seems to be unlimited for their detractors. My question: behavior like this seems to indicate the absence of salvation if, as you say, that works are the result of salvation…..just what is the result of judgement ? Can one be saved but fail the judgement ?

Many theists have come to this conclusion, so the question becomes why do many stubborn literalists remain?

Scientific theories do not do proof. That's math. The theory of evolution is perhaps the strongest scientific theory we have. Darwin's predictions have been verified with DNA. All living things are related. One of the reasons humans and fish share the same DNA is because both have backbones. All vertebrates evolved from fish, that were first jawless, later cartilaginous and then bony.

Human embryos have gill slits and tails, as do the embryos of all vertebrates. Parts of our jaw and inner ear began development as gill slits nearly identical to those of a fish. We were all fish once. Lol. We still have a tailbone, but as an embryo we had a long tail. More similar to other mammalian embryos but still an adaptation inherited from fish.

God and evolution can co-exist.

"Where Do Morals Come From?" by Mark Spence

C.S. Lewis wisely said, “A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.”

Is Christianity Abusive?

There is a huge difference between viciously breaking a person down and telling them falsehoods to make them feel bad so that you could control them, on the one hand, and on the other,
diagnosing a real problem that people have in order to offer a solution that will bring healing.

Why creation and design are not "God of the Gaps" arguments

What's the most "interesting" objection to Christianity that Frank has ever come across? You'll never guess in a million years!
Listen as Frank uncovers the answer and addresses why objections from skeptics typically fall flat.

Does the Bible Say Noah Brought DINOSAURS on the Ark?

Did Noah have to bring two of each dinosaur kind on the Ark? In this episode of the Genesis Account of Noah’s Ark, Calvin Smith shares the biblical answer to this question,
and emphasizes the importance of Christians rejecting the evolutionary timeline.

Noah's ark is a myth.

Everyone dies and stays dead. There is no eternal life or god.

"Where Do Morals Come From?" by Mark Spence

C.S. Lewis wisely said, “A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.”

Human beings make up morals. That is where they come from. They sure aren’t discovered from some source other than human beings.

Hey, C.S. Lewis, humans invented the concept of straight lines. Straightness of lines is a human idea.

That doesn’t answer the question.

Hey, C.S. Lewis, humans invented the concept of straight lines. Straightness of lines is a human idea.

It has nothing to do with invention.

A man does not call a line crooked unless he has some idea of a straight line.”

If everything we eat taste the same - like, they're all sweet - would you have an idea what sour is?
We wouldn't even have the term, sour!

here's the point:

You wouldn't know what evil is, unless you have an idea of what good is.

It has everything to do with invention. Lines were invented by humans, not discovered. Straightness of a line is a human invention, not something discovered. Gods are human inventions, not something discovered. They are characters that humans make up stories about. Good is a human concept. Sweet and sour are human concepts. Flavor is a human concept. Humans invented all these things to describe things. Some things they describe are abstract or totally imaginary. Many are based on subjective human reactions to physical reality.

You can’t know good or evil, as they are not objective. You can only make a subjective judgement about something and label it good or evil. And they don’t define each other. Good doesn’t describe what evil is or vice versa. One concept doesn’t rely on the other.
