A senior FBI official in the bureau’s Washington field office has abruptly resigned after coming under congressional scrutiny for suspected political bias in handling the investigation of Hunter Biden’s computer laptop.

The Washington Times learned that Timothy Thibault, an assistant special agent in charge, was forced to leave his post according to two former FBI officials familiar with the situation.

Mr. Thibault was seen exiting the bureau’s elevator last Friday escorted by two or three “headquarters-looking types,” according to eyewitness accounts provided to one of the former officials.

It is unclear if Mr. Thibault, a 25-year FBI veteran who was on leave for at least a month following revelations about political statements he made while leading the public corruption unit, left on his own accord or was forced out.

The FBI declined to comment. Attempts to contact Mr. Thibault were unsuccessful.

There's more to the Washington Times story, but you have to pay to read it. Here's a related story from another source: https://justthenews.com/government/...pened-trump-investigation-reportedly-escorted

Whistleblowers alleged that Thibault concealed the partisan nature of evidence from FBI Director Christopher Wray and Attorney General Merrick Garland to secure their approval to open an investigation into former President Donald Trump. That investigation culminated in the FBI's raid on Trump's Mar-a-Lago estate earlier this month.

Well, chalk one up for the whistleblowers.

And just like that, Mycroft is quoting anonymous sources and whistleblowers, after having denied their statements for four years under Trump.
Dismissed.

So much for FBI top 1/3rd being political unbiased

Reported that the same FBI agents investigating the Russian Collusion hoax are the same ones leading the NL raid.

The top 1/3rd of the FBI needs to be fired for abuse of power and political bias in the execution of their duties, if you ask me.

The loss of that control over the FBI is what the leftist fear most, as it's worked so well against their political enemies.

And that's one of the reasons the DOJ/FBI is going after Trump so hard: They KNOW that he's going to reveal all of their corruption and criminal actions when he is reelected.

for the record, this is not the 1st time @Mycroft has quoted articles based on anonymous sources

the principle against anonymous sources only pertains to information which is unflattering to Trump, Trumpco, or their customers
afaIct

In this case, the anonymous sources are members of the untrustable, lying FBI who are actively trying to frame little Donnie

BUT

since the anonymous FBI guys are saying something @Mycroft wants to hear, the anonymous FBI guys are totally trustworthy

We've quickly gone from one guy in the Hunter Biden investigation to many agents investigating all of Trump's corruption.

Be assured that the same democrats that have been accusing Trump based on this same biased evidence and concealment will now say it's not fair to make this guy leave or that nothing inappropriate was done by the man. Bias has been proven numerous times in investigations run by partisans in the DOJ/FBI concerning Trump.

Awww.

You are unable to defend your trust of the anonymous FBI guys
AND
you realized it!
So you start lobbing desperate and pathetic falsehoods about me

Let yourself off the hook.
Do you think anyone expects you to abide by your no anonymous sources rule when the information suits your narrative?

You should instead spend some time thinking about your thinking
and how you decide if something is true or not

yawn...

Pathetic personal attacks...as usual...rejected.

I read about this earlier and while it validates a lot of stuff I believe I just don't see it making a difference, even if it's true. My guess is that Thibodoult and the other agents were merely going out for a few beers to celebrate the raid and to plot the next move. It's all a complete waste of time. The "swamp" is so pervasive that it has become a nation unto itself. Maybe Wray of Garland will throw a token agent under the bus to satisfy Grassley but that's all we'll see. It's like the "war on drugs" where the cartels drop a dime on a rival load they find out about so that the Border Patrol can get some headline ink but, while everyone is patting themselves on the back, another 10 tons of crap is being pushed across a half mile down the road.

Based on the text available, it looks difficult to support your assertion that Mach rejected them.

I look forward to observing your efforts to do so.

How about charged criminally. Firing them is not nearly enough if they are abusing their power to attack and intimidate others.

If he's dirty, he should be out. If he hasn't been fired or forced to resign, shame on Washington Times for spreading rumors. Again.

Will this suddenly make stealing top secret documents legal?

No?

Bummer.
