A man is facing charges following a triple shooting that led to the deaths of three men Monday afternoon in NE Miami.
It happened outside an apartment building at around 4 p.m. in the area of the 12200 block of NE 5th Avenue.
Two of the men died at the scene and a third was airlifted to Jackson Memorial Hospital, where he later died.
Police took one person into custody. Pierce Hoempler, 33, is facing three counts of second-degree murder.
Investigators have not said what may have led to the shooting. They did say that the ages of the victims ranged from 30 to 50 years old.
In bond court on Tuesday afternoon, Miami-Dade Circuit Court Judge Mindy Glazer held Hoempler without bond and found probable cause for the charges against him.

A man was discovered shot to death at a gas station on Lamar Avenue on Wednesday.
At 5:05 p.m., Memphis police say they responded to the Love’s truck stop at 3371 Lamar Avenue near I-240.
The victim was found dead inside a vehicle, police say.
“I just saw police cars pull up and heard it was member of the Love’s maybe, found out it wasn’t but someone is definitely deceased in that vehicle,” said driver Kennedy Upshaw.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) held a media briefing on the shooting at the El Paso County Courthouse on Thursday, Nov. 16 just after 11:15 a.m.
CSPD said it responded to the scene just after 10 a.m. and once on scene, located one person who was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound. “This is being investigated as a homicide, however, the El Paso County Coroner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death,” wrote CSPD.
CSPD said one suspect is in custody and stressed that this was not an active shooter incident and there is no threat to the community.
Tejon Street between Colorado and Vermijo remains closed for police activity. People who parked their cars on Tejon Street will not be able to retrieve their vehicles until later this afternoon as CSPD processes the crime scene.

We’re expecting to learn more today about the victims of a shooting at a mobile home park in Mentor. Three people were killed and another person was injured. The suspect is also dead.
The City of Mentor has set a press conference for 11 a.m. on Friday, where officials are expected to give information on the suspect and the four victims. The city says we should learn their identities.

The shooting Thursday afternoon and subsequent stand-off at the Mentor Green Mobile Home Park, located at 7166 Mentor Avenue, also left one person injured.
Mentor Police Chief Ken Gunsch said their officers, along with multiple other local departments, were called out around 4:30 p.m. to the mobile home park for an active shooter.

A 30-year-old man was fatally shot during a fight near the Howard Red Line station Thursday afternoon, even as authorities flooded the area in the wake of a nearby CTA train collision hours earlier.
The man was standing near the corner of Howard and Paulina streets just before 2 p.m. Thursday when he got into a fight with another person, both local residents, according to Chicago Police and Ald. Maria Hadden (49th).
One of the men grabbed a gun and opened fire, striking the 30-year-old man in his torso, police said in an incident report.
The shooting happened around the corner from where authorities were responding to a train collision in the CTA rail yard north of Howard Street.

A man was shot in the head and killed Thursday evening at an Exxon gas station in Northeast.
Officers from the Metropolitan Police Department are still at the scene in the 2200 block of New York Avenue Northeast combing the area for clues. The call reporting the shooting, the department said, came in just after 5:15 p.m.
