You're lying again,... Are you allergic to the truth? 🤡

Bingo!

When it's about guns, they turn their heads rather than face the awkward truth ... !

Once upon a time - long, long ago - guns were necessary to obtain food in many parts of rural America. That is most certainly not the truth today!!!

THE GROWTH OF AMERICAN IGNORANCE

You are being systematically lied to and manipulated. Come out of the right wing media bubble. Try an experiment. For one month get your news only from sources that predate the internet and cable TV. Sources your patents and grandparents would recognize. Do it for your country.

From here: The Growth of American Ignorance

Quote (January 2012):

New Scientist magazine earlier this month ran a special report called: “Unscientific America: A dangerous retreat from reason.” (If you are unfamiliar with the highly respected New Scientist it is a newsweekly for and by scientists, much like The Economist that examines stories, trends and analyses in science. It is published in Great Britain.) It opens, “As campaigning for the 2012 presidential election gets into full swing. US politics, especially on the right, appears to have entered a parallel universe where ignorance, denial and unreason trump facts, evidence and rationality.”

It points out that while America was founded on enlightenment values it as fallen off the wagon (And while the dizzy argue about whether the founding fathers were Christian, there is no doubt that they were profoundly educated and versed in the best science, philosophy and theory available at the time). One doesn’t have to listen very far into the current political debates to see that America is in deep doo doo as its commitment to science slips further and further into an allegiance of the unenlightened and the uninformed.

In Europe, it costs next-to-nothing to get a post-secondary degree. Which affords one the ability to "think" and to "address issues knowledgeably".

America needs to make postsecondary degrees affordable to all-and-sundry. The rich can continue to get their HahVahd-degrees to show the world they are rich. But at least the poor will find the steps-up to a far, far better and more knowledgeable lifestyle ... !

MOMENTARY ECONOMIC GOOD NEWS

In two graphics, here (photos cannot be reprinted from original text).

Note in the first graphic that in July/August/September of this year non-farm unemployment-rates were descending. I doubt seriously that such has changed though it may have levelled out. Further data is crucial towards understanding if this month (October) the lowering of employment-rate has decended even more.

Further to the graphics is this explainer worth quoting:

By The Numbers
  • The unemployment rate was 3.5% in September 2022, on par with pre-pandemic levels. That number is slightly higher than in August when it was 3.7%.
  • Overall, there were 5.8 million unemployed people.
  • In September, 263,000 jobs were added to the market, and the labor force participation rate didn't change much at 62.3%.

I kinda-sorta doubt the rate can fall much further. Because we are getting into the area of "perpetual unemployment" of total workforce. There is a small percentage of the population that is long-term unemployable for a number of reasons.

The October data should prove interesting. If the US can keep unemployment at its historically low level, then nowadays life-in-Uncle-Sam's-land is very much worthwhile ...

PS: Which is historically unusual (at 3.5%). Unemployment in America rarely decends much further - see the historical unemployment rate (since 1950) here. Note that Uncel Sam is presently at the bottom with a low unemployment rate.
PPS: Enjoy for the moment - because these rates are historically ciclecal!

Not by me. I want to see Trump gone so other strong GOP hopefuls can come in and fill the void. Looking forward to seeing Nikki Haley, Pence, Pompeo, DeSantis, Youngkin, and Liz Cheney climb the stage and start campaigning.
Nikki Haley? The American Rishi Sunak! Not for me

I have no use for Haley at all. Trump put her in her current post in order to put a real Trump supporter
into the South Carolina governorship. UN Ambassador is IMO a step down from a governorship.

In that position she may be a slight improvement over Samantha Powers but that is not saying much.

Liz Cheney is even worse:

How ditzy is this woman? Doesn't she realize in the midterm house election she'll lose her seat. She got too big for her britcthes after only one year in the house getting the third highest office in the House, overplayed her hand
& lost all the tricks. This isn't the first time Liz found herself well ahead of her skies.

In 2014, Liz Cheney tried to parachute into the Wyoming Senate seat from Virginia, challenging Enzi in the Wyoming GOP primary. Enzi was her father’s fly-fishing Senate buddy, and the move set off a very public family feud, not to mention earning her public censure from Wyoming’s GOP establishment. Her campaign was notable for a number of missteps. During the campaign she’d lied about her state residency to get a fishing license. It didn’t turn out like she expected falling way behind in the polls behind Mike Enzi & finally dropping out.

Liz Cheney is the poster girl of 'swaggerring goofiness"

The MSM has made Trump to toxic to reclaim the presidency. If gaining the nomination he only will have
about a 50?50 chance to win. Ron DeSantis will be the candidate & he'll win with landslide numbers
