YouGov/CNN-SSRS/Data For Progress, results of three polls

It's pretty decisive, Biden won by double digits.

Well, if those polls are representative of the rest of the country, then Mrs. Biden can start measuring for the drapes.

Confirmation bias among left wing outlets?

You people do this every time a election is going on. :ROFLMAO:

You might be right, Retired, so I'll be looking for polls from other sources, as well.

A poll is neither left or right wing. PIck out 1000 people at random.

Are they left or right? Nah, they're just people, some of each and in between.

Soundness of their respective methodologies is the key. The interesting fact is the similar result of each.

You and I are not there when poll questions are asked.

Funny....the only hits Biden appears to be taking for last night's debate performance is over his ending comments on the oil industry. But should we really be chiding a candidate for telling the truth. Biden has not claimed to be shutting down oil tomorrow. He has simply stated the obvious, that we need reduce our dependence on fossil fuel industries over time. That is so obviously in the best interests of the country at large that I don't even know why it would be a controversy.

The simple truth of it is that I am an older of not outright old man now. Throughout my entire lifetime so far from cradle and it would appear to grave, the fossil fuel industry has been the dominant element of American domestic and international political thought and action. New Deal, WW2, Korean War, Civil Rights and Great Society, Vietnam, Reaganomics mere passing fancies compared to the steady unyielding grip of the fossil fuel industry from the moment the UIK passed the torch of managing Middle East oil rights from them to us after they simply could not do it any longer.

Frankly, for most of my life I have been fine with spewing all this crap into the environment as a necessary compromise but only based on the notion that we knew we had to move away from it. Spewing all this crap into the air and water for the sake of the crap itself is conceptually corrupt and nonsensical and that has become the argument of the day for the fossil fuel proponents. Their rallying cry "what climate change, I don't see any human contribution to climate change". "What dominance of the political spectrum both international and domestic by the fossil fuel industry. I don't see the dominance of the fossil fuel industry across the US political spectrum." HORSE CRAP.

Funny to think, American Industry has continued to lead us slowly away from fossil fuels because its good business sense. Meanwhile dimwits like Donald continue to blather on about "only spraying my aerosols hair spray in the bathroom" and needing MORE fraking more drilling and more exploration on American lands and particularly on federal lands which we have tried to keep unspoiled for our dependents going out into the future. Great lets spoil them too while kneeling to the fossil fuel giants.

None of us should forget that the first Sec of State Donnie chose was .........an oil industry exec.

The country is so divided now that naturally conservatives will think Trump won and visa versa. I will say that Trump did a much better job than the Train wreck he put us through in the first debate. That's not to say though that Biden did a bad job.

The problem for Trump here is that nearly 50 million have already voted and the rest have mostly made up their minds. I doubt this debate will change a thing.

You can disreguard any poll from the biased MSM. They lie.

On that stage Trump had no COVID plan, no health care plan, no second term agenda, and few accomplishments to tout. And whatever sedatives he was on seemed to wear off about halfway through.

A pretty clear loss.

Trump let REPUBLICANS die. How is getting a single vote??

What I find amazing, is that folks can watch a debate, and cant fashion their true opinion on who won, without at least referencing polls. I saw a man flailing, defensive, relying on three or four lines repeated, used car salesman. I didnt need any corroboration.

you didn't even look at the poll did you?
585 people.
491 people.

last time i checked there were millions of people that live in this country.
PS the polls said the same thing about clinton and guess what happened?
she lost the election.

as for me I will wait for facts. Facts are when the votes are counted and the electoral are handed out.
you guys did this in 2016 and were eating crow and are still eating crow 4 years later.

Most polls are in the 1000 or so sample range The salient fact is the similarity of all three.

And the other guy was Trump

I agree. If I had been playing a drinking game every time Biden cried about Russian conspiracies, I would still be in the ICU.

And the similarity of that result to the general polling in the US.

Which means exactly what everyone thinks it means...the debate didnt change anyone’s mind.

i just showed you that your 1 poll was 500
the other poll was 491.

i don't care if it was 1000 people.

there are millions of people that live in a state some are smaller but still have a few hundred thousand.
1000 people is what we call sample size error.
next is the make up of the people in the poll.

The three polls combined exceed 1000.
It was a quick poll, you're making a mountain out of a molehill.
