I believe any hypothetical and in that alternative, Human Resources department of We the People should be able to put the right people in the right place at the right time, in modern times.
The Manhattan Project is a clear example of what can be accomplished when Socialism has an official Mint at its disposal.
..no it isn't.
Right, that's one way to encourage job creation.

The GOP would never stand for it, though, because their oil co. buddies need their bailouts and liability shields.
No, it wasn't. I suggest you actually study what the Manhattan Project was and how it was run. If you want to claim that for socialism, be my guest - doesn't make socialism look all that appealing.
Dude, it was an excellent and practical example of socialism in action. Why do you believe it was a for-profit business venture of our private sector, under our form of Capitalism?
It was part of the war effort. Do you feel the draft was socialism in action as well? Or that Rosie the Riveter was part of a socialist program?
When the war ended the biggest lay-off in world history occurred but, despite this, these people built the greatest economy the world has known. And it was freedom and democracy (code words for capitalism) that built it..
Yes, mobilizing our political-economy for war is a form of socialism not for-profit capitalism. Are you that uninformed as to the social concepts involved?
I am aware that Socialists all have their own individual interpretations of what socialism means. The only thing they have in common is that they will take credit when they feel it went well, as in the Manhattan Project, or be in denial when it turns out rather badly, as in the Hitler Project or the Lenin Project,
You seem to not understand the concepts when I refer to Socialism. It starts with a Social Contract and Constitution for a Body politic.
I just said I'm aware that Socialists all have their own individual interpretations of what socialism means and you even quoted me. I needn't hear every interpretation.
There is nothing so dull, so very boring, as listening to socialists, or people who think themselves socialists, describing how societies should be managed more equitably and efficiently. We can listen politely for a while but, like the prattle of other people's children, it stops being cute rather soon.
