No you are not doing that unless you believe that other ethnicities are inherently inferior
You are doing that because you have decided that one applicant is a superior choice based on their race.
Looks do play an important factor in music industry but I used those three as an example because they are well known If I picked 3 random people I know you would have no clue who they were.
The music industry is kind of an anomaly n that it doesn't really pick based on looks, and it doesn't really pick based on talent. Plenty of attractive talented people who remain in obscurity.
It is more of a gatekeeper model where you are selected and elevated based on another set f criteria that the public usually doesn't see until the gate keepers are arrested.
