I began by being happy to support a different candidate but, over time and like polls clearly show is not uncommon among conservatives, I'm increasingly thinking Trump is the logical choice. Things have gotten so very bad within the country and the world that I've increasingly recognized Trump's experience and strength represent the best chance to actually begin to turn around these expanding existing disasters and the newly added ones. Disasters all beginning and then rapidly escalating since Biden's entrance.
And I agree it's the blind hatred which primarily drives the Dems when it comes to Trump. They might have once believed Trump was the candidate they could most easily beat, but I think that has dissolved into more of a wishful thinking narrative now. They aren't so stupid to not recognize his support and his momentum alongside Joe's apparent weaknesses. Could Biden beat Trump? He could but it's no where near a certainty or even a good bet anymore.
"This obvious abuse has also solidified support among Trump’s other supporters, dissuading them from switching to other primary candidate. Some see this as the
Democrats’ plan to strengthen Trump in the primaries because they believe he is the candidate they can beat. Personally, I believe the Democrats are driven more by blind hatred at this point than reason. But, if that is their plan, it’s a risky one."
