There is no Unbiased Mainstream Media in America

Btw does anyone know what percentage of registered voters actually vote?

I am pretty amazed at just how few people actually vote.
I know this is only democrats or only republicans but some of the numbers for entire states are less people than would fill a large stadium.

They had a reporter awhile back who was supppose to be attending events and doing his column, instead he did not attend the events and did his column anyway as if he has...............The NYT has their hands slapped many times.......

Jayson Blair fabricated stories out of laziness on his part. It was not a NYT scheme to advance any sort of leftwing agenda, and as soon as management learned about it, Blair was promptly fired.

The NYT has been guilty of misleading headlines, omissions, and distortions, but they were not left-slanted. 1.) In the 2000 presidential campaign, the GOP distorted Gore's quotes to paint him as a serial liar, and those were widely reported in the MSM, including NYT. 2.) The NYT was part of the media consortium sponsoring the 2000 NORC Florida ballot study. Every newspaper in the consortium, including the NYT, reported the results under misleading headlines and buried the actual results (Gore had more votes) deep in their columns. 3.) NYT reporter Judith Miller promoted the Iraq war in many stories based on interviews with convicted felon Ahmed Chalabi. 4.) The MSM, including NYT, downplayed news about the Downing Street Memo which confirmed intelligence was fixed for the Iraq invasion. These examples, and more, show that the MSM slants their coverage, not to the left, but for their own self-interest, which many times coincides with right-wing interests.

Most people just read and listen things they already agree with anyway.I dont think sensationalism changes peoples minds on things the same way really detailed well thought out points do.

Nobody switches to fox news one day and slowly gets groomed into becoming a republican.Fox news was created for are market that already existed. In fact i bet there are plenty of liberals who watch fox news just so they can tut and pick fault.

Its more to do with how you are able to filter the infomation to put together an objective view of what is actually happening. The infomation is out there it just needs piecing together.Dont expect one newspaper or tv news station to be able to provide you everything you need to know.

It's really quite a fun pasttime. You should try it out.
