I say the Green Party, Progressive Democrats for America and moderate republicans should team up....... we have much in common that could move the nation forward. For many years into our future.

Bernie Sanders and AOC are leaders for this type of forward thinking. Elizabeth Warren is also a powerful moderate thinker.

I have learned that common ground is found among old school GOP moderates, moderate progressive democrats and the Green Party which is moderate and forward thinking. The best action that could happen for America is bringing these three together.

When is the last time politicians made Full Coverage Health Care Insurance available to all of us that all could afford? It has never happened in the past 70 years.

And the same group of people are still the ones losing ground aka the middle class....aka the ones who pay the bills.

Yet middle class America is the largest stakeholder and voting population in the USA. Why do we allow the radical right wing minority party speak as if they speak for us?

Make no mistake about it I do support AOC, Omar, Talib, Pressley, Bernie and Elizabeth Warren.

I am a die hard Bernie person beyond reality. Bernie still has lots of life and speaks comprehensively and with clarity. The man is young for his age.

Worshipping the democratic party as it is does not work well enough. TIME to talk up replacing DINOs and conservatives with new moderates that support the People’s Budget, Infrastructure Document and HR1.

VOTERS it us that should set term limits at the voting booth every other election. Elected officials won’t do it.

Status quo is not good enough. And allowing misinformation and character assinations from the anti American right wing to guide our votes allows conservatives the minority party to own we the moderate people aka the majority party.

GO VOTE!

You lost me at your first sentence - Neither AOC or Bernie are "leaders". They're obsessed extremist loonies who have failed to notice the programs and policies they embrace have failed everywhere they've been tried. And Elisabeth Warren - a "moderate thinker"? Sorry, no. Yet another power hungry authoritarian.

I do support AOC, Omar, Talib, Pressley, Bernie and Elizabeth Warren.
It's funny you think these are moderates.

I have no problem with them beyond the fact that they won't tell the American people the truth about money and the banking system, maybe they just don't even know it themselves. I think they represent the people that elected them, and in the end of the day, that is their job.

True moderates get blasted in politics for sitting the fence and calling for compromise.

Yeah right!

Coming from a Bernie lover? :ROFLMAO:

Bernie could never hold onto a job in his ****ing life until he found out he could actually make a living taking taxpayers money by telling them how the man is always holding them back, and how the government needs to take care of all their needs.

It's a nice thought but I doubt if the American populace will ever have the education and voting skills to ever push America into the top 5 countries in the world. America is in the top 10 and that's about where she'll stay.

I seriously doubt moderate Republicans would want to become communists.

If you wanted to lay out some things that moderates would agree with the progressives on, feel free, I'll listen.

I do rather doubt that I have any more in common with them than I do the radical right wing though.

Bernie Sanders and AOC are leaders for this type of forward thinking.
Perhaps. Certainly we know that Sanders is, and has been forward thinking for the past nearly 40 years. In fact, he's been nothing short of Nostradamus when it comes to predicting the damage done to the American working class since Reagan.
Elizabeth Warren is also a powerful moderate thinker.
No she isn't. As much as I respect her efforts to protect American consumers, and hold the banking and investment class accountable, she is not a moderate at all. Her views can only fairly be described as close to the tip of the left wing.
I have learned that common ground is found among old school GOP moderates, moderate progressive democrats and the Green Party which is moderate and forward thinking. The best action that could happen for America is bringing these three together.
The best action that could happen for America is to, once and for all, recognize who and where our real enemies are, and to understand that this country will continue to remain buried in our political abyss until we finally take the money out of our politics.
When is the last time politicians made Full Coverage Health Care Insurance available to all of us that all could afford? It has never happened in the past 70 years.
A rhetorical question.

As it has been for at least 3 generations now.
Yet middle class America is the largest stakeholder and voting population in the USA. Why do we allow the radical right wing minority party speak as if they speak for us?
Because they are grossly over leveraged in their representation. It's how our government was structured, way back when we only had the original 13 states.
Make no mistake about it I do support AOC, Omar, Talib, Pressley, Bernie and Elizabeth Warren.
You've made that clear.
I am a die hard Bernie person beyond reality. Bernie still has lots of life and speaks comprehensively and with clarity. The man is young for his age.

It wouldn't even be necessary if we took the money out of our politics. One could also argue that it is anti-democratic in the extreme. Who are we to tell any member of the electorate that they shouldn't reelect their representation if they believe they are being served?
Status quo is not good enough. And allowing misinformation and character assinations from the anti American right wing to guide our votes allows conservatives the minority party to own we the moderate people aka the majority party.

Having a political system structurally dominated by a mostly centre-right party and a mostly far-right party - both heavily beholden to a wealthy donor class and lobbying industry - does not make it "moderate" to stand somewhere between the two!

Left and far-left views would be variations on socialism or anarchism. By contrast views which accept a capitalist economy but regard that system as a tool rather than as absolute dogma can only be described as moderate; views which treat a broadly capitalist economy as something to be structured and regulated to the benefit of all, rather than allowed its unobstructed tendencies towards extreme concentration of wealth, power and consequent undermining of democracy.

(Bernie is personally a socialist of course, but his policies are more moderate.)

Probably because it is illegal. Congress does not have the constitutional authority to involve themselves with our healthcare. The States have that exclusive constitutional authority, not Congress. Anyone who supports MediCare/MedicAid or the ACA are willfully usurping the exclusive authority of the States and deliberately violating the Tenth Amendment.

And the same group of people are still the ones losing ground aka the middle class....aka the ones who pay the bills.

H.R. 1 also violates the US Constitution. Congress' authority with regard to elections is defined under Article I, Section 4, Clause 1 of the US Constutition:

"The times, places and manner of holding elections for Senators and Representatives, shall be prescribed in each state by the legislature thereof; but the Congress may at any time by law make or alter such regulations, except as to the places of choosing Senators."

Anything that does not specifically pertain to the elections of US Senators and US House Representatives is beyond Congress' authority to regulate. Congress may not regulate how elections are conducted for any State Senator or State Representative. Nor may Congress regulate how Sheriffs, city/town Mayors, or city Assemblies/Council members, or School Board members are elected. Congress' constitutional authority is narrowly defined to the elections of US Senators and US House Representatives only.

Obviously you haven't been paying attention. Voters set the term limits at the voting booth for both Donald Trump in November 2020 and Terry McAuliffe in November 2021.

Everything that you do not agree with suddenly becomes "misinformation." Why not use the same irrational leftist ploy that all of your idols use? "If you disagree with me, you are a RACIST!"

Nothing endears the mentally unhinged left like being called "racist, Islamophobic, transphobic, misogynist, white supremacist" whenever you disagree with a leftist nutjob.

Not as long as the Democrat-created unconstitutional Department of Education exists. That was its purpose, to dumb down America. The very first that they did was to abolish civics education in public schools. Which is why we have a civically illiterate population today.

These listed people are not Socialist, they just want to leach off our version of CAPITALISM, they know true Socialism would kill the goose that lays the golden eggs for their social programs. It is either they are fools, or that they know their voters are.

We can't have a system 90% funded by the "rich" and expect the government not to do their bidding, in the end of the day you work for who signs your paycheck, and in American politics that means "the rich".

We have to find another way forward, find a way that taxation to fund the government is spread across the entirety of the population, only then will the masses be represented in their government. You can't do it with income taxes, but their is a way to do it that is truly fair for everyone, but at the risk of sound like a broken record I won't repeat it in this thread unless someone with an open mind wants to here my diatribe, again.

Ah I see the problem. You guys perceive the Democrats as being center-right.

They aren't.
We don't have the far right or lefts of anything resembling political party nature, no real anarchists (no, not the libertarians) and no real socialists.

What we do have are the far right (staunch conservatives who take hard lines on things like the 2nd Amend, abortion, and the governments size and scope, you have the far left willing to sell off grandmas underwear to give everything away to anyone who needs it while taking it from those they perceive as too rich.

Then you have pretty much everyone in the middle. Most governance happens there.

What moderates in the GOP did the OP have in mind?

These listed people are not Socialist, they just want to leach off our version of CAPITALISM, they know true Socialism would kill the goose that lays the golden eggs for their social programs. It is either they are fools, or that they know their voters are.
No-one said they're socialist; from what I gather they're moderates who accept capitalism as a tool to be regulated for the benefit of all, rather than as absolute dogma to be left on its unobstructed course to extreme concentration of wealth, power and undermining democracy. Bernie being a partial exception, in that his policy positions are moderate despite personally being socialist.

We can't have a system 90% funded by the "rich" and expect the government not to do their bidding, in the end of the day you work for who signs your paycheck, and in American politics that means "the rich".
In other words what you have is plutocracy as a consequence of extreme concentration of wealth and power... not democracy. And, again, there's nothing "moderate" about standing halfway between two largely plutocratic parties!

That distribution of wealth so heavily concentrated in the hands of a few is not a result of some natural law or divine mandate, it's a consequence of man-made laws which (unsurprisingly) tend to favour those with the most influence in making them. The rich are funded by consumers; they're funded by the public infrastructure and stable economy which make such consumption viable; they're funded by thousands of years of prior technological and socio-political developments which make their products/services possible to begin with; they're funded by the wealth captured from the excess of employees' efforts; and they're funded by externalities like pollution and unsustainable practices passed off as costs to be paid by other people and future generations. In some cases the means by which people acquire wealth is wildly destructive and detrimental to society, but even in cases which are largely beneficial (Bill Gates for example) the wealth being captured is mostly unearned and vastly disproportionate to their own actual personal contributions. For that then to become some kind of perverse 'justification' for their dominance over political discourse and decision-making is a little shy of supporting formal aristocracies or oligarchies, but it's still a very radical and un-moderate stance.

We have to find another way forward, find a way that taxation to fund the government is spread across the entirety of the population, only then will the masses be represented in their government. You can't do it with income taxes, but their is a way to do it that is truly fair for everyone, but at the risk of sound like a broken record I won't repeat it in this thread unless someone with an open mind want to here my diatribe, again.
One obvious way would be to keep "the masses" (are you sure you didn't mean the plebs?) more in the loop for receipt of the wealth which they as consumers, workers and voters are generating, instead of letting so much of it be captured by so few. I'm not sure how readily that could be accomplished under a largely capitalist model, however, so a second option would be to stop the few from capturing/holding so much and keeping it at the public's disposal through democratic governance to begin with.

The ten richest Americans have a combined wealth of around $1005 billion. The entire Apollo program adjusted for inflation cost around $270 billion; imagine what could be accomplished if 80 or 90% of the wealth captured by America's billionaires were instead retained for public use... without affecting their lives in the slightest. That would be a centre-left proposal, not even close to socialism or anarchism yet, and the kind of policies put forward by Bernie etc. are way more moderate than that! For example Elizabeth Warren supports a meagre 3% wealth tax on billionaires. Near as I can tell these people are more or less dead centre of the actual spectrum of serious political views, and it's only the heavily-plutocratic, far-right skewing of American politics which could make anyone imagine otherwise.

As a swing voter, your definition of moderate if you consider AOC, Omar, Warren, Sanders, etc moderates is way off in left field. I would classify them as extreme leftist. To me a moderate are more like the ones who fall ideological wise somewhere in-between the two major parties. Those you mentioned are on the far left extreme of the Democratic Party even.

There's nothing moderate about them. Take it from a real moderate who thinks one party is too extreme left and the other too extreme right. As for term limits, sure, by all means. Since presidents are limited to 2 terms, 8 years. All senators should also be limited to two terms of 6 years for a total of 12. The same for house members 6 terms, 12 years. Term limits in a fair electoral system should apply to all, not just the president.

Perhaps an influx of new faces with fresh new ideas in congress caused by term limits for one and all would be a very good thing. The old foggies need to go, all of them.

What we need is real life moderates, those who view both major parties as extremist.

You're projecting.
Actually, I am stating historical fact. The federal Department of Education was created by a Democrat-controlled Congress which a Democrat President signed into law on Novermber 17, 1979 and was created on May 4, 1980. Get a clue.

You mean like the CRT? The idea of telling your children the truth? The Republicans don't like the truth. CRT is yet another fine example of the bigotry of Democrat filth. Just like the Democrats overwhelming support of slavery in 1860, when ONLY Democrats owned slaves. Perhaps if you had gotten a decent education rather than your leftist indoctrination you wouldn't be nearly as bigoted as you clearly are today. Let me guess, you were indoctrinated after the creation of the Department of Education in 1980, right?

I think this shows your politics, you see I consider the Democrats a far left party and the GOP a far right party. I'm stuck in the middle as I disagree with about half of each party's agenda and stances on issues and agree with close to half with each party's stances and policies. I really dislike all the litmus test each party throws at you in order to join or become a member. It's like they all want just mindless robots to move around the chessboard in the political arena.

Someone who's pro-choice and pro-2nd amendment isn't allowed in either party for example. Can't pass either parties litmus test. Me, I'll make up my mind who to vote for based on the candidate and my stances on the issues one at a time instead of being told, dictated to by a political party who to vote for and issues to oppose or support, what to think and believe.

I like being a free thinker instead of a mindless robot. I like being a swing voter, part of that group called independents who decide elections based on who and what they think instead of being lead around by either party's leaders. FYI, independents have risen from 30% of the electorate in 2006 up to 40% today and are rising as both major parties shrink. Seems more and more folks want to become free thinkers when it comes to politics and elections than being a mindless robot that just follows one or the other party's line.

You are mistaken. The statements above clearly show you are outside the norm. The vast majority of the population doesn't support the policies and ideas of these people. This is why Warren and Sanders couldn't even secure the nomination, let alone actually win a nationwide election. Everyone in your little list represents extreme groups from disparate electorates. You can be a lunatic and say stupid things when you are from Vermont, Mass, or Brooklyn because you are panding to a rabid base that has an overwhelming majority.

If you think these ideas are so moderate and well received, then just run one on the national ticket and enjoy your clubbing.
