There Are Still A Lot of White Voters Out There

The identity politics mill over there at the DNC has had a favorite meme: the idea that the GOP is demographically doomed because they rely on white voters.

More recently it has dawned on them that, hey, there are still an awful lot of white voters out there. Three quarters of voters are white, they are likely to be a clear majority for decades, and, thanks to crude Democratic Party appeals to minorities, they are a lot more likely to be race conscious than they have been.

Identity politics is a two edged sword.
 

Except that they're also loosing the white youth vote. And many whites have already abandoned them due to their extremism. So they do have plenty to worry about in upcoming years. That's fine, I look forward to the Republican party fizzling out.

There are virtually no such people, the percentage of those with that ideal are statistically insignificant. Most just want to survive until they can find a job that pays a living wage. Something folks like yourself don't seem to want them to have.

*Largesse.

Anyway, two reasons.

1. You seem to be under the false impression that most states have generous programs. That's... laughably false. Most of them are still in rather dire resource straights. Even a bad job will support you better.

2. Not that I would argue the Democrats stay particularly close to progressive ethos, because they clearly don't, but progressivism is based on... progress. Best executed by working, innovating, and community, in no particular order -- both the individual and the collective. I happen to like making my own way.

Because I believe myself to be stronger and more self-sufficient than most and I don't demand that everyone be like me.
 
Plenty of independents of all races to be gotten. Thats where you need to get the votes. Blacks are basically a non-factor and hispanics are concentrated in states that aren't battleground states. FL is important of course, so hispanic votes are important there but CA, TX and NY aren't going to flip. Republicans need to avoid running nut jobs this November and create a cohesive message for 2016.

Thats why I mentioned limits. If you need help until you get on your feet I have no problem with that. I do have a problem with people who use and abuse the system. The story below is an example of why I get fed up with it.

I realize this is a personal story, so take it whats its worth. My boss has a brother who lives on government assistance. He has 6 kids and has not worked since the early 90's. He lives in government supplied housing and gets 900 dollars in EBT a month. His GF who is the mother of his children also receives 900 dollars worth of food stamps.... so all together 1800 dollars a month, free housing, electricity, and have publicly admitted to having no intention of getting a job or even looking for one.

I dont support government bail outs for big business either. A business should rise or fall based on its own ability....not the ability of tax payers to fund them.

Many need the programs to supplement the bad jobs. And still struggle. Wal Mart workers spring to mind.
 

Most of the people I know who abuse the system make into six figures. I've known none in poverty that took advantage of the system. And yet those same six figure folks, which I saw from being their accountant for a brief period as I won't be a cheater's accountant, were all one's that dissed the poor and claimed all entitlements should end. I guess being a cheater makes you assume everyone is.

I know no one such as you're describing, never have in all my almost (in a few days) 54 years.

Anymore it's not fair to pick on Walmart alone as so many big box stores and big corporations are becoming equally guilty, like most service industries including but not limited to hospitality industry, restaurant industry, other dept type stores like Target, ... I still won't set foot in a Walmart because they are such a glaring example, but seems they have just paved the way for others to shamefully follow.

The GOP lacks the sufficient youth vote to keep it's head above water. The GOP is too busy spouting archaic nonsense to actually focus on things that matter, so most young people want nothing to do with them.
 

We can't figure out how to appeal to any one other than white people, but thank god there are alot of them. If only so many where not young, women, poor...

And it is laughable that in a thread glorying in the number of white people, you still manage to accuse others of playing identity politics...

Many struggle because....

A. They have no skills
B. they show no initiative to learn any
C. They dropped out of high school, or barely finished
Etc.,etc., etc

When does personal responsibility ever factor in for you guys?

Or is it the same mantra..."they never had a chance"

Just how much is a cashier working a register worth per hour to you all?
 
If only those were the only one's struggling. They aren't. It only makes you feel better to imagine it to be true.
 


Then your lucky or we have a different definition of abuse. I know of quite a few people who abuse it. Check out the last one...its easy to find abuse.

Perhaps it is just me, but working at fast food was a summer job in high school. Its now considered an occupation.
 

I know plenty who abuse, and they all make six figures. I don't know impoverished, non-disabled people who abuse it.
Can you show that those in those articles aren't making six figures? I mean it sounds like they're making a killing to me.
