The US and Fossil Fuels are Bad and Need to Be Eliminated

I wrote a thought in passing responding to a poster and included this general thought:

Leftists have advanced various ideas, but the foundation connecting all of their thinking is that the US and Fossil Fuels are bad and need to be eliminated.

In the 7000 year or so history of civilization, the 120 years or so bridging the 20th Century have seen the greatest growth of freedom in the form of democracy around the world and in wealth creation around the world.

The unique characteristics over that 120 years compared to the previous 7000 is the permeation of the US view of individual rights and freedoms throughout the world and the universal use of Fossil Fuels throughout the world.

The result has been more people living in greater freedom, enjoying greater comfort with greater security and peace than at any point in history. When was widespread obesity EVER a problem anywhere in the world?

Who are the people trying to eliminate the foundational basis of the world's only currently realized Utopian status as compared to previous eras and WHY are they trying to do this?

Except that you will offer right wing nut jobs. I will offer elected officials.

There are many people who support and endorse BLM on the left. People who support and endorse KKK are rare on the extremes and non-existent anywhere but the fringe.

That's the difference.

On the left, radicalism is normalized. On the right, it is not.

Can you link to the TEA Party Rally in 2010 that featured fire bombs, vandalism and destruction of public and private property?

More people die from right wing extremists than left wing in the US.

That is a fact
 
Breaking our dependence on fossil fuels is a more daunting task than most left wingers realize. The third world is in the process of industrializing right now, and a large part of that involves them capitalizing on fossil fuels. We have unbelievable amounts of industry and infrastructure dedicated to proving energy through fossil fuels. It will be hundreds of years before we stop using fossil fuels even if we focus on it.
