The upcoming Black-Latino race war will be intriguing to watch (1 Viewer)

For what it's worth - and probably not much under this ridiculous OP - I've lived here in Harlem now for nearly 18 years. While my neighborhood remains predominantly Black (65-70%+/-) there's still a roughly 20% Hispanic minority here, mostly Dominicans, with Mexican and Central Americans to a lesser degree.

Everybody gets along spectacularly. We all shop in the same shops, eat at the same restaurants, and drink at the same coffee shops and bars, without even the least bit of friction. The bars that are open late - 4AM - get a lot of the service trade after 1AM - as in kitchen and wait staff, and other bartenders from places that close earlier. Everybody knows one another, everyone communicates with each other, and everyone treats each other with respect. Blue and white collar alike, teachers and students, straight and gay, young and old, every color and hue, it's a fantastic multi-cultural neighborhood, and I feel very lucky to live here.

It's almost like living in a small, but very cosmopolitan town.

@VySky His claim regarding Blacks being displaced from East LA by Mexicans is false. Please see comment 17.
“The clearest evidence of erosion is how South Central, once synonymous with Black life, has gone from being chiefly Black to overwhelmingly Latino. The demographics have shifted not just in L.A. proper but in cities and regions such as Watts, Lynwood, Compton and, increasingly, Inglewood. South Central itself has gone from being 80% Black in 1970 to more than two-thirds Latino. Watts, the site of a historic Black rebellion in ’65, is now 70% Latino.”

Thank you for proving my point in #17 — Blacks settled in South Los Angeles, not East LA.

After the troubles in Watts in the mid 1960s, Blacks began moving away from South LA to exurbs where larger homes were available and affordable. Filling the void were Latinos, and then specifically Central Americans as the wars in El Salvador and Guatemala intensified. Central Americans are encompassed by the term “Latino” as used in your cited article but are not Mexicans as you claimed, and not displacing Blacks as you have claimed. Blacks moving into the middle class left to live elsewhere.

I volunteered in a food distribution event in South LA after the violence following the Rodney King verdict. I’m not quite 5’ tall, and I was looking adults straight in the eyes — unusual for someone my height. That’s when I personally experienced the shift in the demographics of South LA. Many, if not most refugees from Central America are at least part indigenous and of smaller stature.

Considering the sheer number of racist whites who post every day on this site, I'm surprised that there aren't more uncoded threads like these.

Instead, we have safer threads about DEI and illegals so that our Elmers, Earls, and Cletuses can get their jollies with a nod and a wink.

I mean, I wouldn't hate them any less, but I'd have a bit more respect for them if they just came out and said, "I can't wait to see niggers and spics killing each other" than hiding behind code words and DEI vapors.

The point is they have been replaced with Mexicans. Blacks are resentful as a result.

My sentiments exactly.

Horseshit. You're mentally mastubating about minorities killing each other. That's textbook racism. Own it.
You don’t know what racism is.
