The UN General Assembly on the initiative of Russia adopted a resolution on the fight against the glorification of Nazism, according to the organization's website. The document was supported by 133 countries, 52 abstained, and the United States and Ukraine opposed it.

The resolution expresses alarm at the proliferation of various extremist political parties, movements, ideologies, as well as racist and xenophobic groups that promote the Nazi movement, neo-Nazism and the activities of former members of the Waffen SS, including through the construction of monuments and memorials.

"The General Assembly recommends that States, civil society and other relevant stakeholders use all opportunities, including those provided by the Internet and social networks, to counter the spread of ideas of racial superiority or hatred, in accordance with international law, and to promote the ideals of equality, non — discrimination, diversity and democracy," the resolution reads.

The General Assembly also expressed concern about the increasing desecration and destruction of monuments to World war II heroes. The UN has spoken of the inadmissibility and the need to prevent such incidents.

The United States, in turn, opposed the resolution because it saw it as a "thinly veiled attempt to legitimize Russian disinformation" that neighboring countries glorify Nazism. Us representative Jason Mack said that the American side stands for freedom of expression.
Adviser to the Ukrainian permanent mission to the UN Igor Yaremenko, commenting on the rejection of the document proposed by Russia, said that it "has nothing to do with the fight against Nazism, neo-Nazism and other forms of intolerance" and is designed to hide the "propaganda motives" of Russia.

In General, the Representative of the State Department at the UN explained that only because of the terrible Russian propaganda, which no one in the West sees, the United States has to strongly approve and support the glorification of Nazism...
I understand that every state needs allies and even lackeys. But I don't understand why you need a fascist lackey.? Will you hire a proven bloodstained maniac with syphilis to take care of your children? So why does the United States vote year after year with Ukraine, the most corrupt and fascist country, against banning the glorification of Nazism? Some might think something suspicious...

Sure. The glorification of Nazism as freedom of speech will never be understood by those who have experienced fascism in their own country. Just like" Freedom of speech", which has degenerated into a struggle for LBGТ rights and other perversions, will not be understood by people in countries where such" freedom of speech " has not been spread.

By the way, about "freedom of speech" . Nazism is O.K.
Norway outlaws hate speech against trans and bisexual people

Freedom of speech is a hard concept to understand especially for those who have never had it

Freedom of speech... unless the right wing disapproves of it of course. The US has no freedom of speech, since it censors for profanity and nudity.

Speaking of free speech, in US, the russian football player was suspended from matches in the United States for refusing to bend the knee to BLM before the match"
.

And Freedom in general, this is when people steal from stores because the staff is forbidden to interfere and use force in order not to get a lawsuit after.

California recently passed a law.
Shoplifting up to $999 is not considered a crime.
Local sellers complain that the police do not come to such calls anymore.

***
Before that in the "Golden state" was forbidden to expel the homeless if they're sleeping, and shitting on your front porch.

That's Freedom!

no it doesn’t.

here is a good example of free speech protection for nudity

Enjoy your captivity Petey, you couldn’t handle freedom anyways

Do you know who benefits from this? No, not the Left. Most of all, capitalist companies, that sell their products online and do not need all these stores, that sell goods in real time, are interested in this theft. You can't (yet) steal items sent by mail from the post office, which is a Federal crime. This is also freedom - the freedom of competition, when energetic and effective managers find opportunities to screw you using the power of State and the protest movement. Isn't capitalism wonderful?!

Janet Jackson and CBS disagree. Not to mention every beep on TV and the 5 second delay all tv stations have on live shows, so to censor profanity.

Why not outlawing glorification of socialism?

Why not outlawing glorification of socialism?
Why not! I won't be surprised. With a real threat to its money and its power, capitalism will undoubtedly prefer fascism and even nazism to socialism. Proven by the experience of history. But until then, capitalism prefers to play the game of "freedom of speech" and " democracy"

Everything else aside, you are in fact a perfect example of how radically divergent political belief systems can be based on their national or cultural background.

The only difference between socialism and fascism is that fascism is a marriage between the super rich of the private sector, military and government, while socialism is is a marriage between the super rich of the government sector, the military and civilian government.

If the plutocrats via Biden and the Democratic Party have successfully eliminated the United States as they claim has happened in this non-election election, the USA now is a corporate-fascist plutocracy, which will use socialist programs for their profit and power - getting government to pay most of their business expenses.

That is not denying freedom of speech.

I am pretty sure that you do not actually understand what freedom of speech entails...

The US is a Socialist nation...

The US does oppose glorification of nazi speech. It also opposes international laws which look to superceed US domestic law. This has nothing to do with nazis.

Dude, you're a perfect example of someone who has absolutely zero idea what they're talking about. You actually believe that shit? The government cannot be both fascist and socialist, it's a contradiction.

The "socialsm" that must invariably come to the aid of the super rich, when their risky gambles fail, is just MORE fascism, not socialism at all.

How's it feel to be so completely full of shit?

No you don't seem to understand that there is no such thing as freedom of speech anywhere.

Take the Janet Jacksons titty. It was during a live artistic expression and yet the channel in question was fined heavily by a government entity...on moral grounds.

Or take the daily "Beep" on US non cable TV, or other rules put in place on morality grounds. The very fact that TV stations have censor employees shows you that there is no such thing as free speech in the US. YouTube and Facebook.. Hell Apple regularly censors content on their platforms and don't even try to "but they ain't government" bullshit..censorship is censorship.

All countries limit speech to one degree or another. In Germany they go after Nazies, but let the titties be free. In Denmark, we frown on profanity, but we don't fine people or stations for doing it and we certainly don't employ people who's sole job is to censor content.

But what we do have in Denmark is a punishment in place for people who are racist and Nazi like...however the burden of proof is high.

Regardless there is no freedom of speech anywhere, just different restrictions from country to country depending political and society norms.

I hate to be the 'slippery slope' guy but such a ban would be just that. I hate Nazis as much as the next person, but banning political affiliations should always be an automatic no in a democracy.

Yes, I agree there are still restrictions on speech, even with the 1st Amendment. It still doesn't justify a banning of political affiliation. And you should know that in America as soon as Nazis are banned then the far right are going after banning communists, socialists, and anarchists.

Only place I know off that Nazis are banned is in Germany and for a good reason.

Other "political" affiliated groups that are banned are violent terrorist groups and they range from the left wing to the right wing...the common denominator is violence, not political or religious ideology.

Then you should not qualify your statement by giving the USA as an example of a country that does not have Freedom of Speech. When you do that you are implying that there are nations that have Freedom of Speech and you also imply that you do not understand what Freedom of Speech is as a result because the USA has what is universally recognized as having Freedom of Speech within the bounds of what Freedom of Speech accepted to be.

If the common denominator is violence then expect conservatives to want to ban any pro-choice groups, including the Democratic Party. In their minds, abortion is literally murder.
