The UN rules do not allow the US to deny entry to any diplomats. But trump is violating the rules and abusing power to not allow Palestinian diplomats to attend a coming UN meeting in which some countries will recognize Palestine.

The UN should be moved to a country which will respect the rules, and is pro-democracy, and not ban any diplomats allowed to go there. It could be places like Switzerland or the Netherlands.

Rather ironic when you consider over half the UN's voting delegations represent authoritarian regimes.

Just because Democrats lost doesn't mean America is anti-democracy. Just like democracy doesn't apply only when Democrats control everything.

A simple test to determine which party actually undermines democracy:

1). Which party bends over backwards to censor American citizens?

2). Which party has the vast majority of the "news" media protecting them from public accountability and shilling for them daily?

3). Which party fabricated 2 different sketchy "reports" claiming that their primary opponent was controlled by a foreign adversary, after their own REAL commissioned reports completely contradicted that claim?

4). Which party's members keep being caught defrauding elections by stuffing boxes of bogus mail in ballots into drop boxes?

5). Which party wants people to be able to vote without possessing secure, legitimate ID?

6). Which party had long ago gerrymandered and redistricted their cities to the point where many of their districts are octopus shaped(then feigning outrage when Republicans finally grow some b*lls and start doing the same thing?

7). Which party intentionally trafficked in 10-15 million illegal aliens, then handed them way more resources than they give to homeless vets, then count them in census in order to massively increase their own congressional seats?

That's a straw man. I didn't say it's because Democrats lost. Republicans have largely supported democracy. It's because we elected a president opposed to democracy for the US and others, and has billionaire political allies who also are at war with democracy. That makes the US a force against democracy.

Over the last year, democratic processes have put a Republican in the White House, a Republican majority in the Senate, and a Republican majority in the House of Representatives. Those same processes gave a majority of state governorships to Republicans, and also a majority of state legislatures.

But suddenly, the US isn't "pro-democracy."

Anyone can feel good about democracy when you win, but you can tell who really supports democracy -- and who doesn't -- by what they say when they come out on the losing end of democracy.

Several here in this thread have failed that test.

The UN continuing to seek neutrality in the U.S. is like the American Jewish Committee seeking neutrality in early 1940s Germany.

Thank you for that excellent illustration of the power of the right wing angertainment algorithm.

Well, it's actually true that Democrats claim most elections they lose are somehow illegitimate. They did it in 2000, some did it again in 04, they all did in 2016, and then they used lawfare and fabricated reports to remove Trump from office in 2017. Even now some Democrats are claiming he should be removed from office.

Every day the Dems and their media mouthpieces attempt to vilify and discredit the republican president(s) who defeated them. It's based in deception and disinformation. If Dems controlled the legislature, they'd never stop trying to impeach him. In the meantime, they have no real leader and no real vision, except more racial and gender-based divisiveness, and more child abuse(i.e. manipulating more minor children to become trans).

And to emphasize your point, here's a 12-minute video montage of prominent Democrats questioning the legitimacy of our elections.

To save you time, my tally from this video includes the following senior Democratic leaders: Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, Barack Obama, Joe Biden (i.e. the last four Democratic Presidents), Al Gore, Kamala Harris (i.e. which makes it the last three Democratic Vice Presidents), Hillary Clinton, John Kerry (which makes it every Democratic Presidential nominee since Dukakis), John Lewis, Dianne Feinstein, Barbara Lee, Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Jerry Nadler, Terry McAuliffe, Maxine Waters, Sheila Jackson, Nancy Pelosi, Teddy Kennedy, Bernie Sanders, Howard Dean. Dick Durbin, Harry Reid, Stacey Abrams, Sherrod Brown, Corey Booker, and Eric Holder. Each and every one of them not accepting the results of an election.

Election denialism is the Democrats' stock in trade.

Spot on. And all this that the Dems do is because of "Politics Uber Alles" value system they live by, a flawed value system to be sure.

This is not precisely true.

However, the guidance makes one exception: permanent staff and dependents at the Palestinian U.N. Observer Mission would be allowed to remain under U.S. obligations to the U.N. Headquarters Agreement.

The UN should be moved to a country which will respect the rules, and is pro-democracy, and not ban any diplomats allowed to go there. It could be places like Switzerland or the Netherlands.
Let's leave it up to the UN to decide where they will be located, eh?

They better pay their parking tickets on the way out of New York.

You interpret your quote to mean anything other than the US having a specific obligations to permit Palestinian representatives access?,
