The Trumpflation thread.

I posted a poll, maybe take a look, and vote for HOW LONG it will be before it stops being Biden's fault. Maybe another month? A year? or it will always be someone else's fault but not Trump's?
First reflecting back to his first presidency instead of dealing with the current situation, then excusing why it's not working this time around without committing to an opinion when Trump should get the blame if it doesn't change.
Oh well, those of us who have been on here a while already understand that nothing can ever be Trump's fault.
The key takeaway here is that inflation spiraled out of control under bidens administration. Trump now has to fix one hell of a mess. Did I say Biden? I mean Obama's third term l...

I'll give you one thing ...you sure have the party line buzz phrases down pat.

Still can't, or won't, answer the question? HOW LONG into Trump's presidency do YOU start to recognize that what happens under a President's watch is his fault and no longer the former President's fault.
YOU must have an idea. Again, a year? Two years? Never?

Not much originality from a certain demographic. They all spout the same lines almost verbatim. Is there a text book of common Rightwing phrases they quote from?

Isn't it time for California and New York to sue the federal government over this EggGate scandal? What did Trump know and when did he know about eggs.

Biden recovery is going to be long and drawn out. He did a massive amount of damage, hard to pick it all up in just one night, or one month. I would say by month 6 we should have a pretty good idea of who builds the best economy in the world.

Facts. It wasn't an issue when demand crashed because of covid

he does not.

It's a lie.

As I proved to you.
The fact and the bottom line is inflation can be blamed on Biden not trump. Enough said.

No that is a demonstration that you are economically illiterate. Not enough said

Take an Econ class.

Inflation was caused by increasing demand comming out of covid and limited supply (due to covid). That leads to increasing prices i.e inflation.

It was global, not caused by Biden.

Inflation was declining.

Trump got elected and instituted tariffs, which increase prices to consumers, i.e inflation.

Facts matter.

Last month, the Peterson Institute for International Economics predicted that Trump’s policies — the deportations, import taxes and efforts to erode the Fed’s independence — would drive consumer prices sharply higher two years into his second term. Peterson’s analysis concluded that inflation, which would otherwise register 1.9% in 2026, would instead jump to between 6% and 9.3% if Trump’s economic proposals were adopted.

Of course, this is "expert" analysis.
Right wingers don't trust "experts".
They only trust donald, billionaires and right wing media.
All I said was the inflation rate began rising in October 2024, the start of FY2025. At what point in 2026 do the experts you refer to expect inflation to reach between 6% and 9.3%?

MAGAs I'm sure are confident their Orange God will conquer inflation and bring prices down to 2016 levels but it simply is not going to happen. These high prices are here to stay. The only thing that might slow is the pace at which the prices rise. The cost of eggs might come down a bit but mark me, the days of $3/dozen eggs are over. from now on the best price people will find in the supermarkets is around $4.95 for ordinary white eggs. The organic ones and brown ones will be higher and if they're free range, outdoor access or pasture raised they will go all the way up to what you're paying now. Free range are like 20% outdoor, outdoor access are like 50% outdoor and pasture raised are like 80% outdoor and the more outside they are the higher the price will be. So if you want the best: brown organic pasture raised you're going to pay anywhere from $12 to $14/dozen from now on. And trust me on this:

Trump isn't going to lift a goddamned finger to help you MAGAs out with prices because if he had any intentions of doing so he'd be doing it by now. Four weeks out after he promised to lower the prices on Day 1 and he hasn't done shit to try to lower them.

Trumps lackies are so helpless.
Can't you read?
It's clearly spelled out in my post:

You are afraid to answer for fear of holding Trump to any accountability whatsoever. Since this has been an issue since day one, the opinion of the base is unreliable and based on rhetoric.

Are you colorblind? He's gold not orange.

3 weeks. The rise in January is still Biden spending as he rushed threw spending with emergency EO's that bypassed regular safeguards to frivilous spending and the result was an increase in inflation to go with all that extra spending.
Democrats won't tell you that.
BULLSHIT!!!

It all became President Don "Stable Genius" Trump's ball of wax ON DAY ONE!!!

He owns it all.

He sits behind the Resolute Desk now as he wanted!

The BUCK stops there!

MAGA!!!

December 2026?

Here's a thread where we can all gather and discuss all the ways donalds moronic actions raise the cost of living.

"The consumer price index increased 3% in January from a year ago, according to the report from the Labor Department, which showed an increase of 2.9% in the previous month. It has risen from a three-and-a-half-year low of 2.4% in September."

This is in direct conflict with donalds campaign trail promises:
"We will end inflation and make America affordable again, and we’re going to get the prices down. We have to get them down,” he said at a rally in September. “It’s too much. Groceries, cars, everything. We’re going to get the prices down.”

It's only been 3 weeks.
Will inflation continue to rise under donald?
All one has to do is watch how he operates, and you'll see the answer is a resounding "yes".
Calling it the "Desperation thread" would be far more accurate.

Tariffs are only more leverage that Donald has used them short term to leverage Mexico and Canada and force them to step up border security

R e inflation is all about supply vs demand

Tarrifs cause prices to rise for consumers, i.e. they are inflationary.

And niether Canada or Mexico did anything new. They were already doing those things.

Tariffs are directly pushed to the consumer, making the price of goods higher.
No it's another form of leverage. See how the threat of imposing tariffs was enough to get what he wanted.

A simple google search of "What caused inflation after covid" will explain to you exactly what did cause inflation. You could learn this in as little as 30 minutes and the article would spell out all the reasons that led to GLOBAL inflation. What have you been watching? Fox News? Newsmaxx? That's not a valid source of information. The fact that you think Biden caused global inflation ruins your credibility here. At least get a basic understanding of the facts before posting such blatant lies.
