The Time For Sovereignty

Judea and Sumaria are very real to Israel and those of us who support the Jewish claims. Jews are the only people to have ever had a nation in that location, the only people to have a legitimate historical claim to it.
Just like the Apache have a legitimate historical claim to the American Southwest.

Just like the people the Apache replaced, and the people before them, etc. If any of them wish to reconquer the land let them give it a try.

Then America has no room to cry when the Apache start bombing the shit out of it, by your standard.

This demonstrates how fatally flawed the human race is, and how advanced civilization is doomed. This is probably about as good as it will get.

We were lucky enough to live in a relative golden age. It's all downhill from here.

Who cares? That nation was 2000 years ago and the 'god gave us the land' bullshit doesn't work. Using your reasoning any nation can claim ownership of some piece of land they lost centuries ago. We condemn and vilify Russia for invading and illegally occupying Crimea and Ukraine, but Israel gets a free pass for the same illegality-with millions of dollars in 'aid' as a reward! What makes Israel so 'special' anyway?

As you probably already know, "what makes Israel so special" in the minds of many Americans is the whacky "Second Coming" and "Rapture" myths that started some 150 years ago in England by John Nelson Darby and popularized by books like Hal Lindsey's book The Late Great Planet Earth. The glorious Rapture can't begin until the Jews restore their Temple on the Temple Mount in Jerusalem, presently home to the Dome of the Rock.

So nutjobs like Speaker Mike Johnson, who believes that dinosaurs roamed the Earth 6,000 years ago and that Noah's Arc was a real thing are giddy about Israel exterminating all the Palestinians from their land so God can get on with his Big Plans.

Just imagine what humans could have achieved if we'd pursued and worshipped rationality with the same fervor that we pursue supernatural religious fantasies...
