Most state Republican Parties are afraid to commit what they believe in writing. Here in Texas we openly and honestly declare in detail what the Republican party believes. This is the short version. Resolution
"We reject the certified results of the 2020 Presidential election, and we hold that acting President Joseph Robinette Biden Jr. was not legitimately elected by the people of the United States," reads the resolution, passed by voice vote in Houston on Saturday.

State Sovereignty
Federally mandated legislation, which infringes upon the 10th Amendment rights of Texas, should be ignored, opposed, refused, and nullified. Regulation of Commerce in Article I, Section 8 of the Constitution has exceeded the original intent.

All attempts by the federal judiciary to rule in areas not expressly enumerated by the United States Constitution should be likewise nullified. Any federal enforcement activities that do occur in Texas should be conducted under the authority of the county sheriff. “Pursuant to Article 1, Section 1, of the Texas Constitution, the federal government has impaired our right of local self-government. Therefore, federally mandated legislation that infringes upon the 10th Amendment rights of Texas should be ignored, opposed, refused, and nullified. Texas retains the right to secede from the United States, and the Texas Legislature should be called upon to pass a referendum consistent thereto.”

This one is pretty contrary:

School Finance and Property Taxation 87. Defund Big Government, Not the Police: Any large city or county that cuts its police budget by more than 10% should be required to cut its property tax revenue by the same or greater percentage.

Don't they realize police is part of the government and higher police budgets = bigger government?

Speaking of Texas, you really don't think the Uvalde police budget of 4.4 million, 40% of the city's overall budget, was highly overpaid and could be cut by way more than 10%??

What they mean is they dont want big government affecting them but they want to keep others under control. Its why the traitors on jan 6th went ACAB the moment they got consequences.

Great unions as well. They get 2.5 ot for working on certain holidays here in the village. Part timers who are already getting benefits from their previous employer.

Not to worry, I sure will never move to texass.

Sound like election denying assholes to me. Real trumptards.

This is a great start. Imagine the billions (trillions?) of dollars that could be saved if these departments were defunded and abolished. Americans would have a lot more discretionary income to buy goods and services. Our economy would be booming.

I concur. Republicans should finally drop the act and go full hog. Kanye is trying to get the trumpists to say the quiet part out loud.

Indeed - thousands of times over.

Best place to start though (imho) would be to revert back to Article 8, Section 1 of the Constitution wherein the legitimate powers of the US government are explicitly enumerated.

...and for heaven's sake - revert to a rational interpretation / definition of "general welfare." That phrase is perhaps the most abused phrase in all our founding documents.

Lets see get rid of the IRS YEP then there is nobody to collect taxes so lets get rid of all taxes too ,heck we don't need them any ways do we.
I don't know how the Government will be able to pay the people that work for it , but who knows maybe they will all VOLLINTEER and work for free. LOL like if that will ever happen
OH YES lets get rid of the Dept. of education
Aren't Texans stupid enough already?

Energy . well they want every thing to run on oil products that is all they know , lets not think about our great grand kids or what our environment will be in a hundred years
Housing and Urban Development well lets let people live on the streets and we might as well get rid of all the highway depts so we can make sure the Bridges they will be living under are ready to fall down
now the Commerce department , well lets just let countries do the free trade thing . that should be fun, and when they are done and we have no industry left here what do we do?
Transportation Security Administration, yes lets just let everybody take guns on airplanes and shoot up everybody and crash the plane and kill a few more or take it and the people hostage and demand a few million like they did back years ago
Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, wow here is a good one but then those low IQ southerners like to make their moonshine even if they make a bad batch that can blind people or even kill some , Tobacco not so much people still smoke
Now Firearms and explosives , well EVERYBODY should be able to just go out and buy all the explosives they and and just toss them all around even in the middle of the big cities
and OH YES we really need to get rid of this one
National Labor Relations Board
Why the heck do we need them we all know EVERY industry /Company bends over backwards to make sure their employees are super super happy and are making top dollars and are working a reasonable number of hours a week and get everything they ask for.
YEP sure sounds great to me lets get rid of all of them we don't need all that protection
Have a nice day

The truth is it was a brilliant post.

America was a great country in the days before all of these freedom-crushing administrations were created (pre-1913). The founding fathers would be furious to learn how powerful and oppressive our government has become.

some quotes by Americans who understand the perils with a powerful government that is too powerful:

"The two enemies of the people are criminals and government, so let us tie the second down with the chains of the Constitution so the second will not become the legalized version of the first." - Thomas Jefferson

"The purpose of a tax cut is to leave more money where it belongs: in the hands of the working men and working women who earned it in the first place." - Bob Dole

"We've been conditioned to think that only politicians can solve our problems. But at some point, maybe we will wake up and recognize that it was politicians who created our problems." - Dr. Ben Carson

"If we can but prevent the government from wasting the labours of the people, under the pretense of taking care of them, they must become happy." - Thomas Jefferson (1802)

The first step in restoring liberty and freedom is to restore the limitations on government. Period. Defunding and ultimately eliminating these needless government administrations will save American taxpayers hundreds of billions of dollars, thereby putting more discretionary money in the pockets of American taxpayer's. I salute the republican's desire to end these freedom-crushing administrations.

are you saying it would be a good idea to get rid of these departments of government?
YES lets get rid of the dept. of education aren't most of the people on the right stupid enough?
yes lets get rid of any dept. of government that does good for the people of this country
have a nice day
