The Supreme Court's historic opportunity

The court should not even consider the political or social ramifications of any decision. It should be decided totally on what they interpret the meaning of the Constitution to be; and whether or not it applies in the case.
Oh, were that only so.

It's pretty clear that if anyone in any branch of government makes a decision that pisses NeverTrmpers off then that individual or agency is completely corrupt. If they side with the NeverTrumpers then they are "saving democracy". This is because anything and everything that happens in America is somehow or other tied to Trump in the minds of the NeverTrumpers. The Constitution, common interpretation and application of statutory law, the presumption of innocence, and reasonable doubt all go out the window when it comes to ANYTHING Trump related. We all MUST assume the worst and expect our political leadership to act on that assumption or else we're all gonna die!!!!

For heavens sake, get a grip. What I saw at the Capitol on 1/6 was primarily Q-Anon and Proud Boy activists and at least one BLM activist rioting at the Capitol. None of them were typical rank and file Trump supporters and last time I checked, Trump was not there. Perhaps your very partisan eyes are lying to you.
Trump wasn't there and Trump also watched it happen and was so alarmed at the Q and Proud Boys attacking the Capitol that he did......nothing, for hours.

It's the burden the MAGA side cannot ever overcome. Blame it on everyone else if you want, but we KNOW Trump loved it.

But, he would have been there if the Secret Service had permitted it. He even told his fans that he would go there with them. He had the intent.

He assumed that nasty Nancy and the Capitol Police could handle security at the Capitol building, especially after nasty Nanc turned down his offer of national guard protection.

TDS motivated projection.

Whatever. I mean, of course you have to find some way to excuse POTUS sitting on his fat ass doing NOTHING for hours as his own followers attack the U.S. Capitol.

It's really not. It's the logical conclusion of his actions that day. A group of MAGA thugs violently attacked the Capitol, injuring scores of LEOs. The standard for the sitting POTUS is actually pretty low during such an event - do SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Call the cabinet, Homeland Security, order the DCNG that he headed into action, etc...... What did Trump DO? Nothing. How can you conclude from that Trump objected in any way to what was happening on live TV? If you were POTUS, head of all the vast resources of the federal government, do you really think "I'll sit here and watch it on the TV" is the standard expected of THE head of the executive branch, including the military?

Nasty Nancy was in charge of security at the Capitol, not Trump.

No she wasn't, actually. That's a lie.

However it is true that the DCNG reports to Trump. They are deployed in minutes after a 5 second phone call. He never made it. He never made any calls, because Trump did not care. It's really that simple and shifting blame to Pelosi is just because you can't actually defend Trump. That's why you ignored all this:

Thw Speaker of the House is absolutely in charge of the security at the Capitol.

Which part of nasty Nancy turned down national guard protection of the Capitol when offered by Trump did you not understand?

I'll bow out. You're ignoring my comments to repeat lies, and it's tiresome.
