I find these very reasonable, actually.

Oh, are you that ignorant. It comes Deuteronomy 21:23, when it comes to burying a body of a criminal who was executed by sundown the next day. The oral law was 'if that is good enough for a criminal, most certainly it is proper to do that for an innocent person.

Deuteronomy 21:23 doesn't necessarily apply because Jesus did not commit a capital offense. He was innocent. Luke 23:4 - "Then said Pilate to the chief priests and to the people, I find no fault in this man."

Second, you've never claimed why Deuteronomy and the Old Testament has any authority. Was it the commandment of God or the supposition of man?

As for the oral law, it's become whatever people want it to say.

You can't argue something is wrong based on some commandment unless it has some credible basis. Answer the question, Ramoss?

Should a criminal be treated more than a man? And, when it comes to that, the law is the law.. and it doesn't matter, if you look at the cultural and social context of Jerusalem at that time. Do look at things in context, and that does include the context of the time, place and society.

Just because you do not understand the answer does not mean it fails. All it means is that you don't understand the answer. You are looking at a different religion as if it is CHristianity, but it's not Christianity.

The Crowley quote " Do What thou wilt shall be the whole of the law" comes to mind when contemplating idea structures such as this. Though not what one would call satanic, his thoughts were in the same vein.

To me most of these philosophies come across as not actually about "worshiping" Satan as a real entity, but rather a mockery of the idea of worship in the first place.

Truthfully, as silly as Satanism may sound it makes about as much sense to me as Christianity, or Islam, or whatever invisible man in the sky theology were talking about. They're all equally nuts in one way or another.

Crowley meant something rather different with this quote than most people realize. The concept of Will in Thelema (the religion which he founded) is not like a whim or a wish. It is, rather, the deep trajectory of your person. It's who you really, really are, absent all the artificial pressures which try to get you to be something else.

"Do what thou wilt" does not mean "do whatever you please." It means "do what you know, deep down, you are supposed to do." Most especially, it is an injunction to stop ignoring the still, small voice.

You trash the Bible whenever you can. If it says gay sex is wrong you argue otherwise. So don't try to impress me by quoting from a book that you on so many occasions contend is fallacious. It's disingenuous.

I've always had an inquisitive mind so I read the Satanic Bible book many years ago, as a young lad. Clearly it was written in the spirit of rebellion, and is a reaction to perceived injustices and hypocrisy of the church. I agreed with some of the criticisms, but in retrospect I conclude that those illnesses of the church are due to defects in humanity. We are the ones who implement the ideas of christianity into reality. And anywhere that there is a power structure you will find corrupt people who take advantage of things and who are phoney, deceiving liars. There is no institution in this world that is above corruption, but it is because of people. So my feeling is that while the church has many problems which we well know of today, that does not mean that the concept of god or christian morals are inherently wrong.
The conclusion that the book draws, that wrong is right and right is wrong, is unacceptable. What is needed is reform, not an inversion of the concepts good and evil.

yep it is written in rebellion against God. That is exactly what Satan did He rebelled against God.

Yes people are not perfect. yet there are many many churches that teach and preach God's word the way it should be taught.
there are only a small minority of church that corrupt what the bible says. unfortuantly those are the only ones you hear about.
