Another day, another win for the Faragists.
At this point the Farage phenomenon is nothing short of a revolution. Yesterday Reform UK successfully evicted Labour Councillor Chris Lay to secure its first seat on Cardiff Council. This latest misfortune for Britain's misfortune, Keir Starmer, was occasioned by local Labour carpetbagger Chris Lay abandoning his constituency for a better paying job away in England. The Deplorable Edward Topham stood for Reform UK and was first past the post with 40% of the votes!
If sometimes life imitates art then the lizard Farage has to be the trickster in the 1994 superhero movie The Mask. "Somebody Stop Meeeeee" grinned the trickster. Somebody better stop Farage. Better still, snatch his mask before he becomes King. But I digress.
Something on Cardiff.
Cardiff is the Capital of Wales. It sits on the other side of the the Bristol Chanel from Bristol City, I just found out. Like Scotland, Wales also has a secessionist party, but it didn't do good in this by election; nor in Wales at large. Wales is Labourland. That is until Reform UK evicts it in Welsh wide elections May next year.
Is Farage unstoppable?
