JD Vance exudes creepy. It was that "essence" that inspired the joke about him having sex with a couch. (A sexional?) It was a joke. But, the thing about comedy is, what makes it funny is that it rings of truth.

Then, he made an awkward joke about his wife making him sleep on the couch (as if we didn't already suspect that), which raised the natural question: did he misunderstand the preposition? She said "on" but he heard "with". Awkward hilarity ensued.
