Dunno.

Seems like there are issues when public sector union workers get to retire at 55 with a generous defined benefit retirement plan, and the rest of the normal work is working until 65 (or more) and has a defined contribution retirement plan. Something or someone has not kept up with reality.

True. Greece looks just like Argentina tonight. The smart Greeks would have already taken out Euro's before this mess.

Greece will reinstate the Drachma at its lower value, it will be the only way to pay off those retirement plans etc. It will take those Greek leftists a bit of time to realize that they get less that way.

Thatcher used to say the problem with socialism is eventually you run out of other peoples money. She was right, and the world could use another Thatcher right about now (and Reagan for that matter). And speaking of reality-Greeks have known for years about this mess, and for months about the immediate crisis-but very few actually got euros or precious metals out and ready to go.

Hate to say it, but its gonna need to sting a bit. This way the Euro leftists can remember how in the end its the economy, stupid.
