The Old South and Ukraine on Familiar Ground

After reading the OP, you ask us to just think? Really?
Should Biden act like Lincoln did?

Is he going to let Jefferson Davis err…. I mean Putin deny Ukraine’s move to break away?

Just think if the South was on as a near equal ground as Ukraine,

US Grant would have surrendered at Fort Donelson.
Try again but maybe answer the questions this time.

What do they all have in common?

Freedom

Lincoln fought the south denying their freedom to succeed from the Union.

Putin is fighting Ukraine in efforts to deny their freedom to remain free

Unlike the South, Ukraine is on a more level playing field.

Anyone else see the parallels?

Why don't you just announce to the world that you are a racist? You will feel better afterwards.

You talk about the "freedom" of white Southerners to be traitors. For some crazy racist reason, you think that's a more important "freedom" than the slaves having freedom.

More evidence that today's American Right are beyond parody.

Jan 6 also proved that they are no laughing matter. Biden should have hammered the Republican Traitor Party in his State of the Union speech, the same way he criticized Putin.

Just think how nice dp would be if you stopped posting crazy stuff.

I don't have a problem with the analogy, as far as it goes. But it doesn't go very far. Once you get past that both involve states that wanted to separate from Central authority, there isn't any similarity. And even then, Ukraine was already a democratic state when they were invaded, and had been for years. The Confederacy was a flash in the pan.

No.

Ukraine was free and the Bush illegally overthrew the Ukrainian government and installed a puppet because the US needs Ukraine so US airbases in Ukraine can enforce the No-Fly Zone in Russia.
