Well now i've seen everything. Full Story

The conservatives use plenty of hyperbole when trashing the Obama's on a daily basis (socialist, marxist, racist, oh my!) but now one of them is just making a fake diary to put words in their mouths?

And yes yes, I know the standard defense is it's just a "humorous" book, but simply taking right-wing distortions and attributing them to Obama isn't really humor. I can only imagine the massive conservative butthurt if someone did this to Ronald Reagan

Seemingly your the only person who cares either way.

So, it's weird news that someone wrote a humorous book?

Honestly, this is a lot worse then W. in terms of painting Obama in a negative light. Sure, it's not a big deal, the people who buy this know what they're getting themselves into (and probably buy everything else Ingraham say's hook, line, and sinker), but the ad I saw markets this as "exposing the lies, the agenda, the deception" as if there are facts presented within the content.

I just saw Laura on Greta. She said she came out from getting a pedicure and the diaries were in an envelope on her SUV. It was addressed to the American People. She said she is just the vessel to deliver it and that she didn't write it. I don't know, I guess she could be joking about that.

actually I prefer to believe the first. both the Obama's keep personal diaries, and are so bad at keeping them hidden that a conservative activist can get into the white house, steal them, and give them to Laura Ingraham. Sounds perfectly believable.

I just started reading it. The diary entries are OBVIOUSLY satire. They're actually pretty funny. The book is comprised of political opinion, true quotes from the "characters" and the fictional diary entries.

I couldn't give a monkey's damn whether this book is fact or fiction.
If it is fact then it would not surprise me, however if it is fiction and fiction written by the supposed author of this book, then I would be amazed, as I did not realize she had the necessary ability to write such a book.

Really? Sounds like you've got a case of Obama Derangement Syndrome

I kept seeing this book and wondering what it was. I think I might get it when it comes out in paperback. It looks entertaining.

Here's the first diary entry....

January 20, 2009 - Obama

...Hell, yes. It's the first time we're proud to be Americans! I can't believe these people actually voted for me! What a place this country is! A measley stint in the Illinois legislature and a breath or two in the Senate, add a few groovy iconic posters and some "Hope & Change" and...bingo! I'm the f---ing president! They actually bought it when I said I wanted to "form a more perfect union". ....... Pastor Jeremiah was right; to hell with "American the Beautiful". It's the era of Barack the Beautiful. Long may I reign.

Here's Joe Biden's first entry...

Man, I am beat. It is exhausting posing behind POTUS during the State of the Union. What a pressure cooker! I thought Justice Lido [sic] was going to jump out of his seat when POTUS took a swipe at SCOTUS (POTUS...SCOTUS...It rhymes!). Anyway, I admit that I started zoning out when Barack when on about the "threat of nuclear weapons". That old saw? (I personally do whatever I can do to avoid having to pronounce the word "proliferation". My trick is to break it down to pro-lifer and then add the ation part. But then it sounds like an abortion thing. Oh well.)......
