The New AR-15?

Everyone uses plastic now. Everyone. And Uber is everywhere

Very safe in the tourist areas. They say if you look at the ground and it turns from pavement to cobblestone you are in trouble

Corcovado was great but sugarloaf had better views

And the party in Lapa is off the hook
Good for you!

Some people support gun control because they want a safer community for their children

You can frame it anyway you want

but that's not doing anything to stop violence or violent people or criminals

it would just make them use other weapons

do you see that ?

Of course it is....all over the world.

Are you kidding?

our gun violence problem will never stop. just hope it's not your family next.

so you do NOT want to make society safer at all - safer would mean getting rid of the core problem
Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand......all safer than the US due to gun control

Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand......all safer than the US due to gun control

no, they're safer because they have less violent people, less violence, their culture is so different ............. you cannot say 1 inanimate object like a gun changes people from beng violent to being docile

c'mon man, nobody believes that

It's just a coincidence they all have strict gun control?????

think hard here

you are saying that not having guns for citizens to use makes citizens less violent, less mean, less criminal, less hateful etc etc

you REALLY standing by that ? you don't think other things impact it but removing an inanimate object from citizens to have in their homes?

Not so fast.
There are very strong cultural differences to consider.
Also, compared to Europe, the US has a very violent culture.
The problem of brutally violent people who have no respect for others must be solved first, or nothing will change
Whatever is done will take dedication, coordination and participation by many.
I have no confidence that anything positive will be done.
It took years after 9/11 before cockpit doors were reinforced and airport security was improved.
It also took years to get local, state and federal law enforcement to work and play well together

The US has the market cornered on brutally violent people????

It's just a coincidence they all have strict gun control????

Yes. I think it is far far far easier to kill people with guns. Guns are the great equalizer. A 90 pound weakling can go up against a giant

I’ll won’t interact with you again.
You don’t read what’s written, and allow your bias to rule
You are a waste of time - I won’t make the same mistake again.

Good riddance. You should only talk to people you agree with. Lol

I will continue to correct your posts

that's what you said wasn't it ?

Europe, Canada, Japan, Australia, New Zealand ............................ isn't violent because they don't have guns - isn't that what you said ?

Yes. They have less violence due to gun control

Yes. They have less violence due to gun control

right - taking away an inanimate object makes people less violent is what you're saying

that's crazy - I'm sorry, it is

It's the truth you can't face

I'm fascinated with your theory

What other inanimate objects do you think "makes" people violent ?

or, how do you tie other inanimate objects to people's behavior (like maybe having purple shirts makes people angry or something like that ?)

I think bombs could do it too. Which is why we restrict them.

The idea that we have high crime due to lax gun laws is well documented

Do you think we should not restrict guns at all since they are just inanimate objects?

I would like to see the documentation that unequivocally claims high crime is caused by lax gun laws.

but we don't have bombs, why do we still have violent people?

we have stacks of restrictions on guns - common sense guns laws, most of them. What we have right now is pretty good IMO

what we have in the USA is violence - we can dive into the why's behind it but the fact remains, we are a violent culture. In the inner cities where gun laws are the toughest ... why is there still violence ?

because the guns aren't the problem .... they are used by what IS the problem and that problem is violent and mentally ill people

Dive all you like

There is no country on earthbeith lax gun laws and low gun deaths

It can't be done

First of all, I quit drinking all alcohol products roughly 8 years ago. So, you'll never have to worry about me killing anyone in an alcohol related accident. As far as the laws in this country, any legal 18-year-old can buy an AR no questions asked.
what difference does it make if doing this is illegal?

Will it make the bullets less deadly?
You have to be 21 to by a drink. I am sure I can find many other examples. And BTW, alcohol was not invented or designed to kill people. Neither were automobiles.
The I fired guns thousands of times and I've never became intoxicated in never even injured anybody if they're designed to kill why don't mine work? Am I using them in correctly at the gun range?
