The Natives Are Getting Restless

It's perfect slop for the contemporary right which is chalk-full of depth groveling idiots who are only capable of being perpetually critical and regressive, but completely unable to offer prescriptive solutions to problems.

I'm even someone who would be willing to have a conversation about the massive discrepancies in racial criminality, which is obviously an issue. I just won't have that conversation with room temperature IQ anti-intellectuals.
Agreed 100%.

And as an aside, I was recently on a “why is Africa the way it is” kick of self-exploration and came across this amazing video. I had no idea the sheer geographic challenges inherent in Africa that limit economic, social and exploratory progress. It’s a good watch, certainly better than anything the OP can offer.

No sympathy for the mob's victims? No appreciation for the Black woman and Black man tending to the White female victim? Just the usual crossfire.

The Natives Are Getting Restless

Then immediately goes to a "Black Mob" lamentation.

What racist rhetoric.

Goodness.
I for one think @Mycroft should be acknowledged for having the bravery to be open about his racist beliefs. Imagine if more MAGA had the kind of fortitude to proudly fly their I-hate-black-people flag as proudly as Mycroft.

I agree.

But I am disappointed that the term "THUGS" wasn't also incorporated into the spiel.

Why would you share a graphic, violent video that amplifies violent behavior?
I support the hypothesis in post #13 that posting the video was in service of achieving some kind of vaguely sexual release. Of course it certainly could have been in pursuit of some other non-sexual physical pleasure. Opinions vary.

When a racist first comes out of the closet, they may not yet be proficient in the terms of art for their newly embraced lifestyle. We need to give them time to get up to speed.

Why would you share a graphic, violent video that amplifies violent behavior? It's disgusting and so are your racist dog whistles.
Sure. Let's just keep reality hidden. Don't want to upset you, right?

Yeah this video seems to be a rendition of the 'Guns, Germs, and Steel' argument, but I think it engages in far too much question begging to be convincing.

Even if I accept the geographic argument at face value, it begs questions like: would this have an impact on genetic makeup over such a long term? How long do discrepancies created by incongruent geography take to breach? How does this explain the varying success of landlocked peoples (like those in the Steppe) or peoples in resource-rich areas like the Americas? Etc. etc.

Like you say - it's a productive start. It's a shame the conversation is all-too-often muddied by people like the OP who like to stand on the accomplishments of their conquering ancestors from the safety of their trailer home in rural Arkansas.

This is a campaign strategy by JD Vance's half brother, who is running for Cincinnati Mayor. That is why this went viral; it was designed to gain support among the far right in Cincinnati. Just another race baiting MAGA piece of shit.

Yes, your racist dog whistles are a disgusting reality aren't they?
I'm not the one who has made this about race. I consider those city dwellers...white AND black...to be restless natives.

If you are hearing dog whistles, you might want to get your racist ears checked.

That’s why I would encourage you to actually watch some of it rather than imposing your own beliefs as to its content based upon the title. For example I didn’t realize that the Chesapeake Bay alone has 60% the coastline and greater port opportunity thsn the entire African continent - Africa’s coastline is so smooth, with virtually no safe harbors, that despite being the birthplace of humanity, it’s never developed any meaningful seafaring capacity. Rivers? Virtually none are navigable to the ocean due to the continent sitting high and thus most of its major rivers turning into rapids as they approach the cost. And on and on. It’s quite fascinating.

shrug...

I wasn't going to make that assumption since I don't know what started that fracas, but sure...there's a possibility that people in that video are racist.
Natives restless would be in your Cheyenne Wells, CO aka as ‘ultra maga’ xtry.

I live in Colorado. Our town square has a train caboose, a fountain and an old M113.
Ah cool. Canon city, lovely town. Once a solid KKK stronghold as I understand it. Are they willl operating over there?

Yeah and I'm very aware of the arguments - like I said, they're all made in the book I mentioned.

The thing is arguments about geography are really just a historical account. It doesn't really give me any additional detail for the sample questions I posed above. It's exploring an issue by starting in the middle of the stream and only paddling downstream.

Fair enough. I was just offering an example of a better starting point than a Mycroft rant.
