The rogues’ gallery exposed in Robert Mueller’s court filings last week make the Watergate burglars look positively classy.
Even veteran lawyers who were involved in the investigations of Richard Nixon say they’ve never seen this level of chicanery. Most importantly, last week’s events showed that Special Counsel Mueller is getting closer to exposing the scope and depth of it all. His most recent filings make clear that considerable evidence touches the president himself.
As a candidate, Trump repeatedly reassured voters that he had no business dealings in Russia. But as he uttered those lies, he knew Cohen was planning to sell Russian kleptocrats $250m units in a future Trump Tower Moscow by luring Putin into the project with a free $50m spread. This was all unfolding as emails from Democratic officials, hacked by the Russians, disrupted the Democratic convention and the Republican party was making its party platform much kinder to Russia.
https://theweek.com/articles/810202/crisis-mueller-sowingIf people have come to this conclusion, the rest of us have Robert Mueller and his special counsel investigation to thank. After nearly two years of hunting he has ensnared much small game but no large mammals. He has never produced any evidence that Trump colluded with either the Russian government or individuals "tied" or "linked" to Moscow. Paul Manafort is a tax cheat; Michael Cohen is a two-faced crook; members of a president-elect's cabinet occasionally meet with foreign leaders; Russians posted misleading things on Facebook; most people will stumble if asked enough questions about enough topics. These not exactly astonishing conclusions are the sum total of Mueller's efforts.

At this point the most obvious fair-minded explanation of the Russia investigation is that it exists to paralyze the Trump administration. It certainly monopolizes the president's attention. When he is abroad he broods over the latest media talking points from his suite. When he is in Washington, he fumes in front of the television and tweets his favorite tidbits from Fox News. The special counsel has taken his attention away from diplomacy and the other ordinary business of the presidency. Mueller has failed to deliver the goods not simply because there are no goods to deliver but because delivering them is not the point. The point is to hurt Trump.

At least Mueller has delivered something. And it ain't over yet.
That description of Mueller's efforts sounds much more like a description of the bupkis Republicans had on Hillary ... but that didn't stop them from investigating her into the ground, and they're still investigating.

looks like Mueller is using the same strategy that he would use for organized crime. basically, work from the outside in, and follow the money. i'll be curious to see what Trump does if indictments are issued for his family members. i'd say there's a good chance that this is the point where he would fire Mueller. however, Mueller seems to be several steps ahead of him.
lol (laugh out loud) here comes the impeachment and removal from office!
oh wait, no. that isnt happening. just more alt left radical wishes and dreams

^ those are not the actions and responses of a man who is innocent
instead, he should welcome the Mueller report, which would be expected to exculpate a clean-handed president from any wrongdoing
that he does not is especially telling

I believe Trump should be asked to resign if he wants to protect his family other wise they are fair game. The rule of law must be upheld.

With the emoluments, lies, campaign finance violations and obstruction Congress has enough to impeach him with already, regardless of whether he conspired with Russian agents. The only thing stopping them is not Trump's innocence but numbers: they won't get a 2/3 majority in the senate no matter what he's done.
That said perhaps the best they can hope for is to keep Trump's criminality and incompetence in the public eye, unfortunately as one article above notes forcing the idiot to act more and more erratically, till either he's removed under the 25th amendment because his own cabinet can't handle him, primaried out because his own party can't carry his baggage anymore or until he loses spectacularly in a 2020 general election.
so essentially "yes, youre right. trump isnt going anywhere and the at left radicals have to suffer until the next election". i said that already
minor quibble about the emphasized portion of the postIt's not just the radicals. Given his popularity rating is so low and that more people voted against him than for him in the last two elections, it is no stretch to say that most Americans may have to 'suffer' through till 2020. In fact anyone disadvantaged by his policies as well, including a good deal of supporters who will lose their health coverage thanks to gutting Obamacare or medicare/medicaid, or their jobs, homes and farms thanks to tariffs must also 'suffer' through till 2020 although they'll refuse to blame him. So there's be a good deal of suffering going forward because Trump has singularly failed to make America a better place for anyone.
But at least the Trump fanboys get to 'own the libs'. And again, not because he is innocent, but because the GOP in congress are scared of his base.

Mueller hasn't got **** on Trump. If he did we would have heard about it by now. He keeps charging people with flimsy process crimes. Mueller has been on a fishing exposition for two years. The man needs to wrap it up. But the whispers coming out of Washington is Horowitz is just about to close out his investigation of wrongdoing of Obama's DOJ, FBI and that Huber has been busy . The whisperers are saying Huber has been busy indicting but all indictments are sealed. And they are saying Comey may well be indicted before this is over. That is why he was hellbent on trying to have his testimony before Congress open. He wants future jury members to hear his jaded side of the story. Well Comey knew he was going to lose before the judge and decided to "strike a deal" with Congress Critters that a transcript of his testimony would be released immediately after his deposition. Not a problem. The Congress Critters just want to have him on record stating his answers to their questions. You see since Comey last appeared before Congress, Congress has learned a whole Hell of a lot of what was going on at Obama's DOJ, FBI, CIA and other intel agencies. They know exactly what to ask Comey and will have him on record. He is a dirty cop and hope is what they extract from him nails him to the wall.
John Solomon had an interesting piece a few days ago. He said he has uncovered at least 6 undercover agents and informants that tried to infiltrate the Trump campaign and the Trump organization. He wanted to expose them but the government asked him not to due to sensitive information involving them and ongoing investigations. He compared Obama's intel agencies to Mob style tactics. I have no doubt that if justice does not prevail, Solomon will leak the names. From the FISA abuse, the unmasking abuse, to spy on Trump's campaign needs to be exposed and there best be people in orange jumpsuits by the time this is over. Trump needs to declassify everything. My hunch is he is waiting for Huber and Horowitz to finish their investigations.
