Marc, may I kindly suggest that you to start some kind of a punching ball thread and bash the Arabs all you want instead of posting your repetitive sentences in each and every thread ?

I am a strong supporter of Israel's right to exist and volunteered there when I was a younger man. However I was taught by Israelis (sabras, people born there who are Jewish) to respect Muslim religion and Arab culture and many Jews of Israel are Mizrahi and their Arab Jewish culture if I may call it that is while totally different to my Ashkenazi heritage beautiful and different.

Muslim literature and poetry is beautiful. I have travelled in Muslim countries as well. I do not doubt for a second a majority of its people continue to struggle with literacy and as such are still at a stage of evolution where developing inidvidual and critical thought is underway because still many people who can not read and write depend on their religious leaders to teach them and tell them what to think and yes there are numerous political problems, corupt regimes, no human rights, and all kinds of economic and other problems not to mention inter-Muslim civil wars, homophobia, persecution of non Muslims, on and on.


However I am not comfortable labelling all Muslims negatively the same way I hate it when people do it to Jews and Israelis or Zionists or Christians or gays or women or blacks or who or whatever.


When I criticize certain Muslim state policies, I do not smeer Muslims or their religion. I do not see what the point in that is.


All it does is incite hatred and war and violence.

I prefer to reach out to progressive Muslims and look for things we have in common and focus on that.

There will never be peace for my people if we do not reach out to other peoples and get over our fears and hatred of them and vice versa.
