The Man Thread…

Women have light hair some have more some less on chin and upper lip usually the chin is one or 2 and easy to pluck upper lip needs waxed, not shaved
So I'm guessing it isn't like whiskers they are hard to pull out and you will be bleeding. I've had body hair waxed but I'd never do that with my face.

I'm assuming you've felt whiskers on a man's face before but I'm not sure. I don't mean any offense.

My wife was lamenting her barely visible peach fuzz and I thought I was listening, so I bought one of those 'female hair removers' with the plated ends you can pick up anywhere.

Whoa Nelly, am I a stupid.

Ladies this thread is for guys. Included in this discussion are guys, trans men, and even women that find they need to shave facial hair.

This thread is not about:
  • Shaving pits
  • Shaving legs
  • Shaving heart shapes into private regions
  • Nor is it about manscaping
😊
Great thread topic.

I shave every other day. If I shave daily, I get ingrown hairs.

I’ve been trying different razors. My latest is Harry’s and it is OK . I’ve tried Schick and WalMart generic and they weren’t so good. (The generic has a cool feature where you can flip up the guard to get closer to your nostrils). Gillette has been the best for me.

By the way, I get my razors to last three months. I’m a cheap bastard.
I still shaved even with a beard. Not as extensive an evolution, but cheeks and throat.

WW

Sometimes, on Fridays I’ll just shave neck and cheeks. I hate the Neckbeard.

women get facial hair...we just don't shave it...we wax it or use laser therapy to get rid of it.
Can you grow a unibrow? Give it a go and drop in some pictures.

Gillette Mach 3 works for me if I shave. Barbasol w/ aloe for cream. I've tried any number of other smoother gels and creams and they all lead me to irritating my skin, since I end up having to press down on the razor harder to actually cut the hair down to skin surface. Barbasol isn't quite as smooth, which is a good thing for me. I manage to fully shave without ending up with a bunch of red bumps the next day.

But, you don't see clients and judges nearly as often as an appellate attorney rather than trial attorney. So most of the time I just take the beard-trimming attachment off the beard trimmer and use the exposed 'blade' to trim. That's Philip's Norelco. That gets it down to something like 5 o'clock shadow for a quick grower, or next day shadow for a slower grower. And I just let that grow for 5-7 days, then go over it again.

Also use it for the back of my neck (I cut my own hair), but if I press too hard it will rip the skin.

I've been given samples of four and five bladed razors and they all sucked. I've tried a philips electric shaver and that sucked - it even irritated my skin more than it was with razors and non-barbasol creams.

I did once consider trying to learn how to use an old school fold-out straight razor but... why bother?

So update to this awesome thread I posted sometime ago about razors for guys and how we should ditch these expensive disposable crappy razors and the superior shave provided by my Hansen AL-13 single blade razor.
.
.
Well yesterday I did my regular blade swap (cost was about $0.15 cents per blade that lasts two weeks) and so was cleaning the parts.
.
.
Then I had an epiphany, I could just take the parts, throw them in the dishwasher (silverware basket, no blade of course) for easy cleaning. Once done, install the blade and "wa-lah". Perfect.
.
.
I'm a genius or what.
