Again, one more time. What is my activism that you object to and how is letting trans people live their lives in peace not about human decency?
By all means. They can go away and live their lives in peace. But that isn’t what they want. Instead they declare themselves and demand to regulate what pronouns I use in conversation as though it’s any of their damn business, demand that I participate in and affirm their delusion, and that I ignore scientific truth.

They’re fascist zealots who don’t want to just live their lives. And I will fight that every time.

The science says that being trans isn't being delusional and it's a real identity. Do you regularly run into trans people enough for it to be an issue in your daily life? Exactly what is taken from you if you call a trans woman "ma'am." I'm willing to guess you don't have a problem with calling someone who is named William "Will" if he asked you to. What's so special about calling a trans person by their preferred pronoun that it burdens you so?
They’re fascist zealots who don’t want to just live their lives. And I will fight that every time.
In the same way William is a fascist Zealot because he insists on being called Will? Like give a real life example.

What is taken from you if a trans woman uses the ladies room or a trans man uses the men's room?
That is not the common argument. The common argument was always boys in girl's lockerooms and bathrooms in K-12.

TRans people are far more likely to be the victim of sexual abuse than the perpetrator.
That is probably true. That doesn't give them a pass for boys to be in girls locker rooms.

The science says that is a delusion. It is scientifically impossible for a man to become a woman or vise versa.

The truth. And scientific truth is more important to me than the psychotic compulsion of the trans to demand that I affirm their delusion. You can call yourself whatever you want. That is how they “just live their life.” You have no right to demand that I call you what you want especially when it is not consistent with reality. You can send a thousand delusional surly men into GameStop and a man will still never be a ma’m.

Source?

Correct, which is why trans people exist in the first place.

The truth.

That science validates being trans? If so then you shouldn't have any issue calling a trans man "sir."

You point to science when science states being trans isn't a delusion and that it's valid.

So do you call William by his legal name when he prefers to be called Will?

They're not boys, though.
Yes they are, biologically. It still comes down to forcing other people to accept them when they cannot accept themselves. they have every right to believe as they wish. They have no right to force other people to accept them. It is still gender dysphoria, but the medical community has renamed things to reduce the stigma.

Don't you see the problem here? Your side is demanding that other people bow down to your beliefs. Such authoritarian actions against others should never be allowed.

Do as you like as long as you are not affecting others. Stop thinking you have the moral high ground when you try to force others into what they don't want.

Almost every argument where the left is claiming the right is telling the left what to do is irrational and completely the opposite. The left is in dictatorial mode, and the right is rebelling from such dictatorial actions.

The right believes if freedom for all. the left want to impose of the freedoms.

It's because they accept themselves for their gender identity is why they do the work to transition. As far as forcing people to accept them, in what way are they doing that?

No, better science changed how the medical community view trans people. Also, you don't have to have dysphoria in order to be trans.

Aren't you doing that by subjecting trans people to be more vulnerable to being sexually abused if they're forced to use facilities that doesn't align with their gender?

I gave you my opinion and applicable facts. I have no need to explain what you refuse to accept. I'm sure most people who read my words understand my points with perfect clarity.

So when pressed to substantiate your claims, in a debate forum no less, you refuse and cower to the "undecided audience" to dictate who is right in this exchange. Cool.

LOL.

I have no need to go farther. The fact is you are wrong when you try to impose your values on others, demanding that they accept what you believe.

Why can't you accept this? To believe you can impose others to do your will is dictatorial. Period.

Do you honestly believe you have the right to demand other people accept what they disagree with?

You can personally believe whatever you want to believe. Your employer likely will require you to treat your coworkers with kindness and respect, and you can't tell others what bathroom to use, but you personally believe whatever you want to believe.

Y'all are arguing a strawman. You are taking the most extreme positions of the extreme cultural left and applying it to everyone that doesn't agree with you. Most people believe that male to female trans women should not compete in women's sports where they would have an unfair biological advantage. For example, in elite women's swimming or running events. Most people don't think that taxpayers should fund transitioning surgeries for illegal immigrants. Most people are troubled by a 10 year old getting puberty blockers to support a medical gender transition at the of 9 or 10 year old.

Yes, there is a small percentage of the extreme cultural left and that some extreme trans activists that hold those beliefs, but they are not representative of the beliefs of the vast majority of people. Most people that are socially liberal or socially moderate, simply believe that trans people should have legal protections against housing and employment discrimination, that they should be able to use their restroom that correlates with their gender identity, that they should not be thrown out of the military simply because they are trans (and even worse, denied military retirement benefits because of it - as the reprehensible Trump Administration is doing), that they should be able to change their driver's license to match their gender identity, and that they should be treated with kindness and respect.

For example, this is utterly reprehensible, and I think most people would agree that it is: https://www.nytimes.com/2025/08/08/...on on,Hegseth's assault on transgender rights.

LOL.

Like setting up essentially genital inspectors to prevent a trans person from using the bathroom to take a piss?
Why can't you accept this? To believe you can impose others to do your will is dictatorial. Period.

What am I imposing on you?
Do you honestly believe you have the right to demand other people accept what they disagree with?
I have the right to be treated with basic decency. If the cashier calls me the F slur, I expect to have the right to file a complaint to the manager and have it addressed.

I have held quite consistent in my views.

I did not believe women had penises 10 or 20 years ago and still don't. I supported gay marriage 10 or 20 years ago and still do. I believed in equality of opportunity instead of equality of outcome 10 or 20 years ago, and still do. I believed in questioning authority 10 or 20 years ago and still do.

I haven't changed, but what people call me sure has.

Society evolves. What used to be commonly unacceptable becomes accepted, and vice versa. And this is a good thing. Should it be acceptable to point at a Black person and call them the N-word?

It should be considered ignorant, but there is no reason why we can't accept that. I mean, anybody can say that two plus two is five and we don't feel threatened, do we? We should rather pity a person who hasn't been able to gain proper education earlier in life.

Not sure what you're trying to say, but I don't see how it answers my question.

There's another thread here where people have been arguing for bullying. They forget that open, unapologetic racist language was fully permitted while people made the most rapid progress against racism. Whereas censorship - going after people for 'hate speech' and naughty words and saying they 'don't have sympathy' or for failing to declare their pronouns - that has been directly responsible for the negative progress we are seeing currently.

We have to respect that people have a right to be wrong. Not because we want them to be wrong, but because it is part of the learning process.

Yes. The need to kick the trans crazies off our coattails before we lose everything we fought for because of them has required that I adopt a more conservative position.
What are you going to lose? Everything? "We" fought for?

Maybe people have no problem to accept other people, as long as they aren't forced to accept an "ideology" that impose to comply to a "set of speech/thought rules" .
You mean like Christianity?

Can’t grasp how accepting individuals for who they are is such a difficult concept for some people. 🤷‍♀️
We know the right can do it - they keep voting for a former Democrat who has paid for God knows how many abortions.

This reminds me of all the folks who insist empathy is why they were forced to vote for trump.
