Of course there are videos. Saw them. My point was if it can be shown that people crossed state lines to commit those crimes, then the feds could justifiably be involved. Otherwise I assume it’s a state/local issue. US and urban riots: been there, done that. An assault on the US Capitol to prevent certification of an election following months-long “calls to action,” by a president which was then followed by his words of affection for the rioters is well, somewhat different. This was Trump’s beer hall putsch, only unlike Adolf, Donald said he would be with them... and didn’t go. Can’t wait to read “Trump’s Kampf.”

Since the DOJ doesn't seem to be interested in investigating Antifa/BLM anarchists, it's now up to Congress to investigate and refer their findings to the DOJ. (Except Congress isn't interested in investigating them, either.)

This investigation only has one purpose, since the DOJ is already dealing with the Jan 6 people...politics.

Now you are making it up as you go along. The southern border was out of control for decades up until Trump brought it under control. Besides the wall, moronic policies like "catch and release with a court date" were ended. "Remain in Mexico while your asylum cases were heard", etc became policy. Mexico provided troops to keep any future caravans from crossing, etc. By the time Trump left office, the border was effectively under control. Only a fraction of illegals made it across compared to previously. Ofcourse the turd that is now occupying the oval office just flat opened the border as soon as he took office.

Besides goofy sarcasm, you are still making it up. Hamas like any terrorist organization easily spotted weaknesses in regards to Dopey Joe. They saw Trump as unpredictable. They knew all Biden would do is shout "de-escalate". And with all due respect for Jimmy Carter, who was an incompetent president, but a decent and honest man, the ground work for peace between Israel and Egypt was done long before Carter took office, by former Secretary of State Henry Kissinger. Carter merely handled the finishing touches and sat their with his toothy grin for the signing. As for helping to bring down the Soviet Empire.......are you kidding? Credit fr that goes to President Reagan who convinced the Soviets that they were not going to be able to win an arms race with the US and still manage to feed their population. And Carter's work with Habitat for Humanity was quite honorable.

By inciting an insurrection against our government using radical far right groups loyal to him and causing the ransacking of the capitol, Trump is leading the Republican Party into the abyss.

On Tuesday, Trump expressed the hope that Kevin McCarthy and Mitch McConnell are listening to him.

They are. On Tuesday, House Minority Leader McCarthy came out against the bipartisan Jan. 6 commission he okayed in February.

Today, with a series of mischaracterizations, Senate Minority Leader McConnell came out against it.

The Democratically controlled House passed the measure with 35 Republicans voting for it, but, with McConnell's opposition, it faces tough sledding in the Senate where it will require 60 votes for it to pass.

Clearly, Republicans are putting themselves before the country and the Constitution as they want to hide an invasion of our capitol so they can win in 2022.

Clearly, McCarthy and McConnell are trying desperately to protect their asses. Here's why.

“The president bears responsibility for Wednesday’s attack on Congress by mob rioters. He should have immediately denounced the mob when he saw what was unfolding,” McCarthy said on January 13.

McConnell told us on Feb. 13 that the rioters had been "fed wild falsehoods by the most powerful man on Earth. Because he was angry he'd lost an election."

"Former President Trump's actions that preceded the riot were a disgraceful, disgraceful dereliction of duty," added McConnell. "Trump is practically and morally responsible for provoking the events of the day."

Now they ask, "how high?" when Trump tells them to jump.

Defeat of the commission in the Senate is Trump's want. Once again, we must ask, just how stupid is this man?

"I certainly could call for hearings in the House with a majority of members being Democrats, and full subpoena power, and the agenda being determined by Democrats -- but that’s not the path we have chosen to go," Speaker Pelosi asserted.

Which would be better for Trump and the Republican Party? A bipartisan commission, five members chosen by Democrats, five members chosen by McCarthy, subpoenas approved by all; or an investigation with full subpoena power with Democrats in charge?

Taking into account his own well-being, Trump didn't answer that question well. Apparently, he wants the Democrats to investigate, and that is likely to happen if McConnell and McCarthy have their way after listening to Trump.

Surprisingly, every member of Trump's flock adore him. That's a problem for the GOP. It explains why they are acting so foolishly.

If me and my pals try to set fire to a federal courthouse and try to blow up federal law enforcement with high grade fireworks, I certainly hope the DOJ would pay some attention to me. (But, by all accounts, they aren't. It's nice to be Antifa/BLM, isn't it?)
