On December 21st 2020, the administrator of Voat announced its upcoming shutdown on December 25th 2020. Thus, I began work on this video, in the hopes for it to become a historical record on Voat's financial troubles and eventual decline. Its not as simple as "ran out of money", no matter what the faithful tell you. These people, who have faith in Ruqqus and Saidit and other Reddit Alternatives, will tell you "That could never happen to us!", but they are deluding themselves. Watch the video to see why.

Caveat! Being censored from google search results, kicked from paypal, blacklisted from web hosting providers - made this shutdown a certainty. Still, my contention is that even in the best circumstances, it would have fallen

VOAT is REDDIT clone alternate-right social network that ran out of money when an investor defaulted on the contract (with co-owner Justin Chastain) in March.

It's closure has been expected. No surprise.

And no great loss.

I am not seeing the problem... The free market is rejecting Voat. What’s the issue?

Is the general premise from WP that Reddit is unfair to conservatives?
Is that the reason all these alternate platforms sprung up in the first place?
Are Voat and Saidit and all the others the equivalent of "Parler"?

Thanks. I've never heard of VOAT, and it seems that this will be the last time I will ever hear of VOAT.

Conservatives are inherently corrupt, anything they do is bound to end in shit.
