I think Hamas at its worst is infinitely more credible / trustworthy than the IDF. It's not even close.

So, I checked, in a 17 year period there have been only 2 people killed exclusively from mortar fire with 34 people killed in all from " rocket and mortar fire" from Gaza.

Seems like it's an access issue not a tactical one and you see this type of thing in many asymmetric conflict situations, so it's defo not just a Palestinian thing
