Ben Franklin published an extremely widely read book that included a "recipe" for induced abortion

Already fact checked

Wasn't one of Aleto's made up "points" that the founding fathers were against it?

.
Exodus 21:22–24 describes two men fighting, during which one of the men's pregnant wife is struck. If this results solely in a miscarriage, the perpetrator is fined. However, if she dies, the perpetrator forfeits his life (as according to the law, a life for a life).

In another Biblical reference that demonstrates the Old Testament does not regard the fetus to be a soul Numbers 5:11-31 describes the test of the unfaithful wife. If a man is suspicious of his wife's fidelity, he would take her to the high priest. The priest would make a substance for the woman to drink made from water and "dust from the tabernacle floor". If she had been unfaithful "her abdomen will swell and her womb will miscarry, and she will become a curse."

You forgot to post the curse .

Not sure making a blanket statement for a group base on a sample size of one is the best debate tactic but it is used frequently

The God of the Bible was a lover of both abortion and infanticide

Well, abortion was legal for the first few decades of our country's existence. We didn't get around to criminalizing it until later.

My first thought from the title "The founding fathers and abortion" was that the founding fathers weren't aborted.

The same can be said for slavery.
Yeah, which is why I think looking to the founding fathers for moral issues is dumb as ****. But since we keep doing it anyone people ought to know what they actually believed about issues.
