We Christians will never be able to overcome our theological differences, but we should be able to unite in recapturing American culture. Religious Jews could and should join us in this effort, as well. Our common ground is CULTURE, and it is there we will save the nation -- our people -- from the fate neo-barbarian forces now afoot in society have in store for them.
 
You are fighting a losing battle. Worry about your faith and closeness with God, and your families.

Let happen to America what will happen; there is no sense in 'fighting' for it any more than there was for early Christians to fight for Rome.

Religion needs to be destroyed. It represents an obstacle to human evolution. Religious people are dangerous because they think they're special, they think God chose them for some kind of mission. That makes them assume everyone else is not special or dumb and as a result they try to impose their particular credo on everyone else and despise anyone who doesn't think like them.

Neo-barbarian forces? The overwhelming reason for the decline of Christianity in the western world is apathy. It has nothing to do with the atheists, Muslims or whoever else you probably want to blame. Many people simply start attending church less and less until they stop going altogether. There is nobody for you to fight against.

And you want to know why? Because religious people are fake and pretentious. We should look at everyone who portrays himself as a highly moral subject because he's a religious person very carefully. Those people are deliberate liars. They use religion to raise to power and get into office, so they can impose their religious agenda on Americans once installed up there. You cannot be a religious person and get involved in politics. Both are incomapatible because in politics you'll have to make decisions that are against your faith, so do us a favor, religious nuts, stop getting the Church involved into State affairs.
 
How about we just let the South secede? You guys can go down there and do whatever you want, and leave us alone.

What do you plan to do with those of us who do not believe in Christianity.
Are you planning on forcing us to wear special "identifying patches"
Are we going to be treated like 2nd class citizens?
Are you planning to adopt a kind of Jim Crow Laws for non-Christians?
What about internment camps and mass deportations.

Will homosexuality be a capital crime like they tried to do in Uganda?

I noticed you didn't mention Muslims.
What do you have plan for them?
Are people required to recite religious oaths to Christianity just to hold office or even just to vote?
Are you planning on turning public schools into Christian indoctrination centers?

Can you be so kind as to answer these questions before you go off and put me in some concentration camp?

And in my opnion that is exactly what you are calling for.
And what happens to them once you get your way.
I hope to believe the majority of Jews here are smart enough to realize where they've heard your type of speech before,and to remember where it got them.
I also hope to believe that the majority of Christians on this forum are smart enough to know that what you wrote has nothing to do with jesus Christ and everything to do with your own vanity.

What you just wrote goes beyond debating on some internet forum and went straight into the Sociopath Zone.

One thing is sure:

If Christians (or Jews or Muslims, for that matter) don't want their religions to lose support and influence, they must find ways to reconcile their religion with a modern way of life, including individualism and values of freedom. The less they manage to adopt, the more people the respective religion will lose. New times require new answers to new questions, sometimes new answers to old questions -- but old answers won't convince anybody.

If they refuse to adopt, but instead go reactionary and think of ways to cling to the past by brute force, then nothing about their religion will be left that's worth supporting.

Seems to me the biggest threat to American 'culture' is from Catholics.
 

Religion is based on rules. "Do not...", "Thou shall not...", etc. Without rules religion is gone. How can religious people be tolerant or value freedom, if the only thing that is done in the Bible is telling you how to live, by which rules you should abide? The Bible is more of a civil code than an essay on freedom and democracy. Let's call a spade spade. Therefore, if you're asking religious people to be tolerant might as well ask Chinese people not to eat rice anymore.

I, at least, am consequent because I want to impose certain norms upon society, but I don't say, "this is what God wants you to do". No, I'm simply saying this what we should do if we are to survive as a species. I'm not bringing the auhtority of God into my arguments or reasons. I'm against certain types of personal conduct because they harm society and have a devastating effect on it. It has to do with improving people's lot not imposing my will upon others.

Do I really have to point out that "religion" does not equal "Christianity".
There are plenty of other religions that while they do not require everyone to adhere to them.
Buddhism and taoism just to name two.

The "Bible" is a Holy book to "certain religions",not all of them,which your post implies.

Again,the Bible is the Holy Book of "certain religions".
Not every religion follows the Bible.
Mine doesn't.
There are plenty of religious people in this world (and even on this forum) who are tolerant of other peoples beliefs.

any time Jews join with right-wing Christians, we always end up getting the short end of the stick, or become just another victim of their bigotry. this has happened time & time again.

May I suggest that you request that your doctor up your dosage of Haldol,because apparently it's not doing the job.

I'm sorry to disagree with you Thunder,but it is my opinion that El Cid's post shows how hateful,evil,narcissistic,delusional and potentially dangerous some people who "claim" to be christians can be.
 
Right-wing and Nationalistic Jews tried to make alliances with the Fascists in Germany and Italy during WW2.

we all know how successful that was.
