There was a member of another board I used to go to that was one of those typical right wingers who hated everything government funded, would bloviate about how hard they worked, and they didn't need anyone's help. Then he let it slip that he couldn't afford a computer, and he posted all his BS from a taxpayer funded one at the library. As I said earlier. If you are bragging on an internet forum to complete strangers, it is probably a lie.

Back around 2009 or so, me and some friends were trolling the snot out of some Pagan BBS. The one guy is always harping about personal responsibility.

Then he mentioned that getting a job is easy, he's done it 9 times in 5 years. Then it comes out that he and his wife live with his mother in law, because he can't hold down a job because he can't show up every day.

This is always gratifying.

Oh come off it. The democrats have not "allowed" illegals to come into the country. They are trying to deal with the competing legal obligations to enforce the border and at the same time recognize the rights of asylum seekers, who are protected by US law and three ratified treaties. Trump couldn't give a shit about the laws and treaties (what a surprise!), openly suggesting that we ignore them. If you don't like our legal obligations, let me know. I can name you the three relevant ratified treaties and you can write the government and tell your reps to withdraw from them. I can also refer you to the relevant clause in the Refugee Act that you can try to get changed. Law and order is a bitch at times, isn't it?

The best way to get rid of illegals looking for jobs here is to make jobs more attractive to US citizens and legal residents. Republicans have it both ways: on the one hand, they fight unions, try to keep wages low by any means necessary, and represent the majority of employers, yet politically they are like Claude Rains in the form "Casablanca," shocked, shocked I tell you, that illegals take those jobs legal residents won't. "We have to put a stop to this," they cry. Wait a minute, whose gonna pick fruit, work in meat packing plants? If you don't like what's happening, go out and pick crops or send your kids to do so.
