Looks like the CDC needs to update its data collection systems and work on its public messaging so people don't interpret data in the wrong way.

CDC actually does develop pretty good public health surveillance systems, but it has been hamstrung by bureaucratic turf wars and political optics.

You have no idea how bad it is. I'm talking 1980's and older technology. But that's not limited to the FAA. It's all over DC and the beltway where I spent most of my career, starting in the Pentagon.
