His net worth rose tremendously in the years after his presidency due to all the grift, corruption, Saudi money etc.

Trump won by 1.2%.

His electoral college victory was 312 electoral votes, in the lower half of US presidential elections.

But it was far short of Barack Obama’s 365 electoral votes in 2008 and 332 in 2012.

Clinton Electoral College vote, winning 370 electoral votes in 1992 and 379 in 1996.

When people are frustrated and angry over the status quo, they will turn to extremists on the Right or Left who promise to make their lives better.

Over a hundred years ago, fed up with World War I and economic crises, the Russian people overthrew the hated czar and turned their country into a republic. But the politicians in charge failed to fix the situation, so the Communists took over and turned the country into a Totalitarian hell that resulted in utter destruction. Around the same time in Germany and under the same conditions, the German people overthrew the hated Kaiser and turned their country into a republic. But the Weimar Republic failed to solve hunger, hyperinflation, and—worst of all—submitted to the harsh punishment meted out by the victorious Allies, so Germans turned to Hitler and the Nazis, who turned their country into a Totalitarian hell that resulted in utter destruction.
Bottom line: You can warn voters all you want about ideological extremists like Mamdani, but if those voters are angry and dissatisfied with the Establishment and those extremists are charismatic and persuasive enough, they will come to power.
To quote a character in one of my favorite movies: "It's biology, dude."
