No belief is required. What I've challenged from the very beginning is Trump's continued rhetoric to downplay the virus and stifle the efforts of governors to implement their plans. The "LIBERATE [insert state here]" were a perfect example of that as was his pressure to reopen economies, as his continued rhetoric to critique prevention protocols. He recently held a rally in Virginia despite the restrictions against large gatherings; "law and order" indeed.

As for the rest of your comment, you don't apply the same standard to anything you post. Instead, you deflect by pointing out everyone else's flaws and ignore the one about the person you support. You never talk about failed conservative results; as if that particular ideology has worked flawlessly.

What you fail to recognize as usual is state and local responsibilities as well as the current results showing record numbers of recoveries, declining death to infection rates vs the world, the distorted China numbers and of course the following which the left never wants to discuss

Is there ever going to be a time when good Democrats wake up to the reality of exactly who Kamala Harris and Nancy Pelosi are and how Biden is nothing more than a placeholder? Nah, this isn't from a progressive lense, this is by pretty much any other country's standards. In Canada, the Democrats would be the Liberal party. To the left of that we have the NDP.

As for progressivism, it is neither left nor right. Up until recently, the Conservative party of Canada was called the Progressive Conservatives. It is still called the Progressive Conservatives at the provincial level in Ontario. Once again, it is a methodology (well, more of an ideology, I guess), not a lean. The only reason it appears left leaning is that most conservative movements around the world today are regressive. It wasn't always that way...the failings and voluntary obsolescence of today's conservative parties don't get to change the definition.

I haven't ignored anything, and have responded as to why police are endorsing Trump; you just choose to keep repeating the same comments and questions over and over again. Police turned on Mayor Dinkins in NYC when he pushed for civilian oversight, which he PBA fought tooth and nail against; to the point it helped fuel the riot by off duty police officers.

As for people leaving NYC, I addressed this as well. The difference is you always focus on the points that are in line with your narrative rather than the broader reasons people are leaving many major cities. Living in a city is a trade off; you're closer to work and conveniences versus having more distance from your neighbors and paying lower taxes. Once work isn't a prime reason to live in a city, and you couple that with a pandemic which makes close quarters a risky proposition, the reasons to remain aren't as strong for some.

If we're still racking up high numbers of deaths, recoveries don't mean much unless you want a shiny thing to look at other than mitigating deaths. It is indeed good to see the number of deaths declining in relation to infections, but we're still seeing pretty high numbers. China's numbers aren't relevant to the US response, so I'm not sure why you keep bringing this up.
