As of 10/7, it is no longer an option, and shouldn't even be considered until Hamas has unconditionally surrendered or been totally destroyed, 100% of the hostages have been located and recovered, the entirety of Gaza has been pacified and disarmed, and Israel is no longer under attack from any of its neighbors.

Once we get to this point, then we can get back to the Israel / Palestine debate and what Israel can do for Palestinians to promote peaceful coexistence. Until then, we should support Israel in defending itself from attack.

and how did the voting go?

Most coverage here concerned UCLA — obviously — and the vote was in favor of BDS. This was maybe around 10 years ago. I don’t know what happened at the other locations.

i agree

In California, BDS could already be in place since it’s been around for at least a decade.

California is usually a few steps ahead of the curve. Good.

I am neutral but I am hostile to some of the Several States making it illegal.

Yeah pretty much this ^

If you think Israel good, Palestine bad, that's fine, but don't try to use the force of law to strip people of their right to express themselves. I mean the Supremes established that money is free speech, so by that standard, BDS should be an unfettered right.

I support it.

Support it

It would provide non violent pressure to Israel to the occupation and oppression of the Palestinian people. Should have had far more support earlier perhaps the Palestinians could have been free at the same time as black South Africans

And then Californios wonder why we think they are the land of fruits and nuts.

I'm for it and every effort to legislate against it is a violation of the First Amendment.

I'm fact if the West weren't so goddamn hypocritical the BDS movement should be an official position of any government who claims to give a damn about human rights.

what do you think about it?
Oh Look, another way bigoted Americans can express their anti-semitic bona fides.
what bullshit.
Whatever happened to the BDS movement to boycott Russian goods in the U.S.?

Free to do what? Screw up a new country like so many "freed" African shithole countries?

The southern Red Bible Belt states are "shithole countries" Jay.

Why is that....do you think?

I said neutral. It's just one more attempt at foreign interference that won't make a damn bit of difference, in terms of impacting these two peoples' desire to be shitty to each other. Do it, don't do it, it doesn't matter, that conflict will never end.
