The Arctic Is Losing Ice while the Antarctic Is Gaining Ice. Why?

"The Arctic Is Losing Ice while the Antarctic Is Gaining Ice."

"We Poles just never can agree on a common course of action" - as my grandma used to say.

- Cyryl ....ski-.....ski.

According to the ice core record this has happened many times in recent millenia minus industrialisation. I'm not convinced it has much if anything to do with human activity

In truth the Northern Hemisphere will always be slightly wamer simply because it has a far higher percentage of land Mass than does the southern Hemisphere. That combined with the fact that air doesn't readily transfer heat and because the coriolus effect prevents large scale atmospheric mixing between the Northern and southern Hemispheres
