I, on the other hand, look at the economy with low unemployment, tariff revenues, and continued growth in the stock market.
Call me a Capitalist because I think the economy is getting stronger and that's how people decide whether we are doing better or not.
They didn't re-elect Trump because of his good looks or scintillating tan.

I will continue to give Trump credit where credit is due.
I don't expect anti-Trumpers to acknowledge anything Trump is doing to improve our country. To them, that would be like saying Hitler improved the country by building the Autobahn. Can't say anything positive at all about Hitler no matter what.

And just what are those things that Trump said will be good for the country?
What brand of crystal ball are you using to predict gloom and doom into the future?

It’s all theater. Republicans have never gone after the employers, which would have been far more efficient than checking court dockets for easy quota filling.

They have always been more useful as scapegoats/distractions than a problem to be effectively addressed.

They always knew where most of them were. And two senators tried to have the employer sanctions removed from Reagan’s amnesty.

So I have no patience for the cruelty theater show.

I, too, did not vote for Trump three times.
But I'm sure glad Kamala is not our president.

Why are you so sure this would increase votes for Democrats? Is it because you know that Democrats have policies that are far more inclusive than those of Republicans? Maybe Republicans need to change their policies so that newly naturalized citizens would want to vote for them.

The United States has generated $100.5 billion this year from tariffs as of July 13, the latest data available — 111.5% more than the same time last year. Federal income taxes, meanwhile, brought in $2.4 trillion in 2024.

And the $53 billion difference in tariff revenue year-on-year is just part of the story. High levies can cause huge surges in revenue that later level off as trade patterns shift and businesses seek to lower costs along their supply chains.

Where does the money come from?

Simple question.

Who pays tariffs?

It is NOT the country of origin.

It is the importer.

Who passes those costs on to the end consumer.

It is not “more money coming in” it’s just more of our money ending up in the governments pockets.

I can't understand why anyone ever votes for anyone but Democrats, but that's just me. If you believe that all immigrants will vote for Democrats when they become citizens, you must have a low opinion of Republicans.
