There are some members here who can't seem to bring themselves to say that sex with a 9 year old is wrong, so I want to see what everyone one thinks the age of consent should be. There's a limited number of poll options, so give your vote for the age of consent when it's a 30 year old choosing a sexual partner.

18, with close-in-age exceptions. Any other choice is nonsensical.

I think that some flexibility if the participants are very close to the same age (within a year or two at most?) is reasonable, but if the age difference is not small, 18 years old.

IMO.

Do I like kids having sex at 13/14….hell no

Do I believe of consent should be that low? Hell no

But I am not the morality police, and what I think and two bucks will buy you a cup of joe

I would prefer it to be probably at 16/17 but that may be really out of date
 
Depends on the era/culture I suppose...my grandmother was a week shy of her 15th birthday when she married my grandfather who was 20 at the time...they were married for 58 years when my grandfather died...

The European model of social acceptance is half your age plus seven. A 30-year old with an 18-year old is legal but not normally acceptable, for instance..................

I prefer closer in age, but that's just me. Once you are at least 18, if you want someone much older, that's your choice.

Go read the thread. Lots of try to equate it to sex change operations, some just can not bring themselves to say it's wrong.
 
I voted 16 which is the current law across most U.S. states. I'd also supporting lowering the drinking age and voting age as well.

Expanding freedom > limiting freedom
