the 2nd american revolution

It's true .. and sad

Very stirring. A lot of truth too.

I disagree with a couple of his points. I don't think universal service, via conscription, is a good idea. Conscription is fundamentally opposed to freedom, and I don't agree with it in any but the most extreme circumstances. Certainly not in peacetime.

"No state has the moral right to survive through conscription...and in the long run, no state ever has." - R.A.H.

I wouldn't necessarily object to making 2 years service a prerequisite for voting. That, or paying a voluntary tax. It is democratic to make franchise achievable for all, but not necessarily wise to make it universal without cost or effort.

The actor was on Glen Beck the other night. Yes, the video is very compelling, and the hits just keep on coming.

Hopefully it'll motivate people to stop the idiocy happening in DC right now.

i agree goshin- i don't like the "conscription"...

i think a pre-requisite for voting should be a simple test about the united states government and how it works.

voting w/o knowing anything about the government or the candidates... isn't that kinda like doing brain surgery without ever reading any of the textbooks?
