"Some professional historians pick apart details they got wrong, but overall it's a great step forward," Noam Chomsky.

None the less the 1619 project is little more than a leftist / woke revision of US history, and has pretty much discredited.
It's only the Public School Indoctrination system which is using it as a basis for curricula, and that because it fits their desired political narrative.
they are frankly doing their students a disservice, exactly the same sort of disservice they did by keeping the schools shut, when the science has been clear for quite some time there was little to no risk.

1619 has been replace by CRT and when the grifters are done squeezing millions out of schools who can't even afford to feed their kids hot lunches, they'll move onto the next grift.
I'm thinking mega churches. LOTS. of money to be grifted there.

That's only an endorsement if you have a high opinion of Noam Chomsky as a social and political commentator.

He was a groundbreaking linguist.

He's also known as a top dissident intellectual.

I have a high opinion of his commentary.

Your backhanded defense of racism is noted.

Your backhanded defense of racism is noted.
You are equating criticism of, and pointing out the flaws in, 'The 1619 Project' with 'defense of racism'?
That's on the same level as 'Because you don't agree with what I agree with you must be a racist', an often used tactic by Progressives, Liberals and Democrats.

Neither position has very much credibility in the least.
Also, not surprising that this is the Progressive position on anyone and anything that disagrees with Progressives.
That position doesn't have any credibility either.

Hello, straw man.
How does teaching the facts about slavery grift millions from public schools?

What political narrative are you referring to? Does the teaching of critical race theory offend you?

What is there to like about teaching kids bullshit?
Teaching school students the facts about slavery and racism is bullshit? Would you rather through a flag or a sheet over the entire period and just teach the nonsense concept of white male exceptionalism with a sprinkling of white evangelical Christian morals and call it even?

"Some professional historians pick apart details they got wrong, but overall it's a great step forward," Noam Chomsky.
The REAL Noam Chomsky or the DP Noam Chomsky?

Teaching school students the facts about slavery and racism is bullshit?
Only if schools are using 1619 Project as a source.

nice spin attempt BTW.

There's a built-in assumption in this question. I'll bet you can spot it. It's akin to "have you stopped beating your wife?".

The thing is, school systems and boards of education are using The 1619 Project as source material for their student's curriculum.

Why is that a bad thing? Maybe conservatives can claim to opt their kids out of US history like they do in science class and sex ed. Does praying about it make racism not exist?

He was horrifically wrong on both Cambodia and Bosnia.
How was Chomsky wrong on Cambodia? He opposed the Vietnam war that was the impetus for Pol Pot to come to power.
