ALEC has been subverting the GOP for years long before insane Trump came along. The Lincoln Project came about in mid to late 2019...... the name anyway.

Maybe the Lincoln Project did help derail Trump then again maybe not. Trump helped derail Trump and so did the massive get out the vote undertaking.
The Lincoln Network is a right-wing 501(c)3 nonprofit based out of North Carolina and associate member of the State Policy Network (SPN).[1]
The Lincoln Network hopes to "merge Silicon Valley and DC for a more perfect union", its organizational activities include providing tech help to right-wing organizations, including messaging, analytics and web design. According to its website, organizations that have received support from the Lincoln Network include: DonorsTrust, America's Future Foundation, Institute for Humane Studies and Intellectual Takeout.[2]
