Well, it appears Shaun King (still needs to apologize) and while it's nice the attorney has now apologized for pimping a fake rape charge against a DPS officer, I hope the department files charges against her for her fake accusations. When you read the accusations she made, then compare it to the very clear video of the entire incident, she is obviously a lying fool.
DPS says body cam clears trooper of sexual assault; accuser’s attorney apologizes
A woman accused a Texas DPS trooper for sexually assaulting her during a traffic stop. But after a review of the body cam footage, DPS says no wrongdoing was found.
The Texas Department of Public Safety has released dash camera video of a traffic stop that has gained national attention, debunking a woman's claims that a trooper sexually assaulted her.
DPS says Trooper Daniel Hubbard saw a 2013 Chevrolet Malibu driving south on Interstate 35 in Ellis County near U.S. 287 and the car was stopped for a traffic violation. Based on the traffic stop, the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She was taken to the Ellis County jail and charged with DWI.
Following the arrest, allegations were made against Hubbard. DPS says it took those allegations seriously, immediately reviewing the traffic stop and arrest. It ultimately concluded there was no evidence to support the allegations that any wrongdoing occurred.

This is why all cop should have body cams. It protects them from people making BS accusations of misconduct against them.

SC NAACP leader says he was racially profiled. Body cam footage tells different story
The president of a local chapter of the NAACP in South Carolina said he was racially profiled in April by a police officer when he was pulled over for a traffic violation, but body camera footage released by the Timmonsville Police Department contradicts the reverend’s claims.
“TONIGHT I WAS RACIALLY PROFILED by Timmonsville Officer CAUSE I WAS DRIVING A MERCEDES BENZ AND GOING HOME IN A NICE NEIGHBORHOOD,” Jarrod Moultrie posted on Facebook April 13.
Donisha Prendergast, granddaughter of reggae legend Bob Marley, plans to sue a southern California police department saying she and a group of friends were racially profiled and swarmed by police while leaving an Airbnb.
The Rialto Police Department was served Monday with a notification of pending legal action on behalf of Prendergast and two other people involved in the encounter, Komi-Oluwa Olafimihan and Kelly Fyffe-Marshall, according to a press release.
At a press conference, Police showed body cam footage of the encounter which features Prendergast and her friends joking with police officers. The department released a statement saying that the officers did not at any time restrain the people involved and “treated the involved individuals with dignity, respect and professionalism.”
Police say the encounter only lasted 22 minutes, after which officers "learned the residence was an unlicensed Airbnb," according to the statement.
Just wait... BLMer's will figure out the cameras keep exposing their lies then they'll claim the officer bodycams are racist!
Yes... it's becoming that damn silly!
Glad to see the truth come out. I would suggest we pass a law that if it can be proven that someone made a false accusation that person gets at least the minimum sentence the victim could have gotten.
There have been a rash of these types of false accusations recently -- what gives?
This is one of the reasons I am loathe to buy into all the #MeToo claims.
However, the attorney that was representing the woman in this case has made a statement. He understands that stuff like this hurts everyone.

So since you don’t buy into the #metoo movement (in part or whole) What percentage of making claims of sexual harassment, or more importantly, various forms of sexual assault, do you believe is false?
Would you prefer that women who actually have legitimate claims, stay silent, so as to not disturb the many skeptics who feel that they (and society in general) are victims of having to read about, or see televised reports, on such matters, which they’ve decided are hoaxes based primarily on their personal beliefs that media or women are prone to lie for malevolent reasons?
I imagine he would prefer people stop making false accusations of rape, since that harms actual victims of rape because now they're more concerned with not being believed and are less inclined to seek help.
So are you going to the the arbitrator who decides on who is making false claims? Due process shouldn’t apply in such matters? If not you, who is going to be the chief lie detector in charge who will be given the power to sort out the guilty from the non-guilty?
Oh, and Howard claims to be a “she, not a he”. I can’t say for sure one way or the other.

Actually, I think people should be free to form their own opinions on the validity those types of claims. Why shouldn't they?
"She," you are correct.
Let me explain how I see the MeToo movement (and, btw, the group is starting to take on a lot of criticism) so you'll better understand my position.
When I was a kid in school, a group of fairly popular boys would stand along one side of the hallway and talk about girls who passed by. Why no one ever stopped them is beyond me, but it escalated to the boys hollering out personal information about the girls that they (supposedly) only could have gotten if they'd been intimate, things like pubic hair color or vagina tightness, etc. Rude things. Hurtful things. Some of what they said might have been true, I don't know, but some were absolutely NOT true, like the things one boy said about me. I'd (nicely) turned him down for a date and I think that pissed him off. Anyway, dozens of girls were talked about in that manner and I think it was ridiculous, whether or not it was true.
I feel the same way about the MeToo groupies -- some of the claims might be factual -- but there's no good reason to start hollering out the claims now. Especially, because many are being denied.
This is a good article that explains why it's okay to criticize the movement -- I hope you read it.
