Texas loosens gun laws, bans 'red flag' orders

Gov. Greg Abbott signed several bills over the weekend making it easier to own certain firearms and restricting gun control measures.

And sawed off shotguns are now legal in Texas. I guess they were too long for... hiding under trench coats? I dunno.
 
Well they've always been legal, they just weren't legal to carry.

Well if you're hiding it in a trench coat to do crime where you're going to get a felony aggravated assault charge or possibly murder charge I doubt you care that much about a gun charge regarding a short barrel shotgun.

So this law only served the purpose of empowering criminals with short barrel shotguns and inhibiting citizens from owning them for a legit reason.
 
Just another reason to stay the **** away from texass.
 

Sawed off shotguns were always legal as long as the barrel was 18 inches and overall length of 26 inches.

Sawed off shotguns are great for in home protection. Think of that when you try and break into a home in Texas. Two barrels with 00buck. Bye.

I might live in a place like that if it was temporary work-related but I sure as hell wouldn't raise a family somewhere where I thought I needed weapons to protect them from the people around us. I'd move my family someplace safe.

Texas wants to be Iran. Women kept in traditional roles, homosexuality illegal and liberalism pretty much illegal, laws come from scripture, scripture taught in schools, hell, Iran is where good conservative Texans go when they die.

This is good news. Red Flag laws violate four constitutional statutes (Amendments II, IV, V, and XIV), therefore they are illegal, and they should be banned in all states.

Yea, I have my choice of fantastic medical care, hundreds of parks and lakes, educational opportunities galore, (my high-school has a planetarium), the ability to make a really nice living with quite a bit of opportunity even with the high taxes. The ability to visit the greatest city in the world. There a reason the tri-state real estate is in demand and I assure you it's not because it's a shit hole contrary to your opinion. Why would I ever move to texass. Delaware maybe, very low taxes, no sales tax, mild climate.

I'm all for more guns in Texas. The more Texans commit violence against other Texans, the safer the rest of the country is.
