Texas inmates being "cooked alive" without AC

So much web space wasted on pitying convicted criminals in prison while millions of Ukrainians flee their homes into Poland; millions of Sudanese civilians are starving in miserable heat; and Hamas fighters still use their own people are human shields as they continue fighting a useless war against the IDF.
Bleeding heart Liberals worry about prisoners, transgender therapy for children, and statements about 'miserable cat ladies'.
Conservatives worry about energy independence, controlling the southern border, and rebuilding our weakened military defenses.

cruelty is likely what many of the prisoners did

prison is supposed to be horrible enough nobody would ever want to do things to get in there

You had access to water, those inmates did not. You could leave at any time. Those prisoners could not.

I'm saying our grandfathers and their fathers and grandfathers lived through working hard and tough in the heat ..... prisoners don't have any more rights than that no

and they pretty much gave up all their rights when they broke laws and got sent to prison for their crimes - and these are no going to be non-violent first time offenders

Yeah, people are dying of heat-related issues in Texas prisons and the reich-wing government of Texas is trying to cover it up.

they did crimes, they need to do the time they were sentenced and hopefully never do crime again - prison is supposed to be tough, hard, and some place you never want to go back to

my Dad was 5' in a ditch laying sewer pipes and shoveling dirt in 1980 ..... my granddad plowed fields with a mule in 1936

they lived - I don't know why a prisoner is more deserving of AC than the men who worked hard over the last 200 years

I'm betting is prisoners DID die of heat related they were fat, obese, out of shape, already sick people ..... again, no ... I have compassion for unborn babies, innocent people who've done the right things in life .... way more compassion there than from career criminals, murderers, rapists etc

The question is as you stated it. If it didn’t exist at the time of the Constitution is it covered? You are protected from unreasonable search and seizure. Your person and papers are protected. So electronic stuff should be accessible by the cops on a whim since electronics did not exist. The cops shouldn’t need a warrant to come in and inspect your computers right?

Photographs, movies, and audio recordings, they just didn’t exist so copywrite of movies and music would be illegal. Right?

As another pointed out the Second Amendment would cover Muskets right? No cartridges, nor even percussion caps. Just basic flintlock weapons are covered.

That’s the problem when you make such an idiotic argument. You would not apply it to anything else. Cruel and Unusual is left up to interpretation of the people of the time. They didn’t specify what was cruel and unusual. They just said it was banned.

I’m betting if you heard the Supremes were considering interpreting the Second based upon what was available at the time it was ratified you would be screaming socialist or fascist takeover.

Why do you wish those in prison further suffering? They've already had their physical freedoms taken away.

Just about everything you wrote was wrong. Even prisoners have rights, like it or not, and that includes the right not to die of heat exhaustion, which you obviously don't mind.

I simply am no worried if their feet has a blister or if the heat is a little high or if they're missing a cigarette etc



I have breathing excercises

I focus, draw my bow .... back tension, focus, bore a hole in where I want the arrow to go, concentrate, breath out and release

I have 8-10 P&Y animals on the wall in part thanks to thee breathing technique
